The presentation date of the next iQOO Z7 was officially announced this morning in China, with the brand having already unveiled the design and some of the specifications of the device. In addition to the standard version of the iQOO Z7, there will also be the iQOO Z7x, while today the new iQOO Z7i was presented a few days in advance.
Official iQOO Z7i: entry-level with MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chip and 5G connectivity
The Z7i from iQOO arrives with a 6,51-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1600×720, supports a refresh rate of up to 60Hz, has an 88,99% screen-to-body ratio, and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
The main rear camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and is coupled to a 2 megapixel macro photo camera. While for selfies we find a 5 megapixel front camera. We also find that the rear main camera supports 10x digital zoom, while the front one supports 2x digital zoom.
The new device then comes with a relatively unique processor. It is the first processor of the 6000 series from MediaTek that arrives with the Dimensity 6020 and which makes its debut. This chip adopts 7nm manufacturing process of TSMC, CPU is 2 Cortex-A76 2,2GHz together with 6 Cortex-A55 2,0GHz, Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, support LPDDR4X memory, flash memory UFS 2.2. According to Chinese media it is an upgrade of the Dimension 700 chip.
In other respects, the iQOO Z7i has a built-in 5000mAh battery, supports 15W fast charging, supports side fingerprint recognition, and is equipped with the Android 13-based OriginOS Ocean operating system.
Finally, regarding prices, the 4GB + 128GB version is priced at 949 yuan (128 euros), the 6GB + 128GB version is priced at 999 yuan (135 euros), and the 8GB + 128 GB has a price of 1049 yuan (142 euros). The smartphone is available in two color options: Moon Shadow Black and Ice Lake Blue
