I have tried so many vacuum cleaners, but for my cleaning needs I have always abandoned the real idea of owning one and this is because among the models tested I have always found the "defect" of poor autonomy, as they are battery powered. However, I would not have thought of receiving a device to test that allows you to have the power of a classic vacuum cleaner but in the dimensions of an iron. JIMMY BX7 Dual is powered by cable and this feature alone makes me love it, however it does not represent the usual device for vacuuming dust from the floor, but lends itself to targeted cleaning sessions, such as those relating to mattresses, sofas, curtains and any surface in contact with our pets' hair, allowing you to also eliminate mites. We could define it as a mattress beater, an anti-mite vacuum cleaner, the fact is that the new JIMMY BX7 Dual will allow you to sterilize and purify the surfaces and the environment with which it comes into contact. You will find many similar products in circulation but not as efficient as the one proposed by JIMMY which immediately stands out for a double brush on the lower part: a main one made up of rubber inserts and nylon fibers for standard cleaning and then the secondary brush with anti-winding design, specifically designed for the collection of animal hair and which ensures strong beating on surfaces.
Another peculiarity lies in the presence of an ultrasound emitter for the mass murder of mites, but not only that, also any eggs. But that's not all, as the BX7 Dual also allows you to sterilize surfaces, eliminating 99.9% of allergens and bacteria via UV light that penetrates deeply. You do not have to fear for your safety, as when the vacuum cleaner is lifted from the surface, the UV lamp automatically turns off to avoid accidental exposure to UV light. As already mentioned, the JIMMY BX7 is not a battery-powered model but it connects to the electrical outlet with a 5 meter long cable which allows you to move around the room easily, reaching every corner, a very good choice, effectively allowing for cleaning autonomy infinite without loss of power or efficiency of the features offered. Overall we are talking about a compact and light product, so much so that it can be used with one hand. The modern aesthetics and lines of the vacuum cleaner are designed for specific use on mattresses, upholstery in general and surfaces that require powerful suction, strong enough to remove even what is beneath the surface and not visible to the naked eye. Traditional vacuum cleaners only collect dust and dirt, but allergens, bacteria and mites nest in the surfaces and represent a health risk, just as the presence of hair not only makes removal more difficult but facilitates the proliferation of mites and bacteria causing allergies, asthma attacks and other problems.
Thanks to the powerful 600W motor and a large 245 mm suction slot, combined with a washable MIF filter (also included in the package) and Dual Cyclone filtration technology responsible for separating mites and dust from the air, reducing the risk of occlusion inside the tank, by maintaining constant suction, we will be able to have serious benefits in cleaning, not limiting ourselves to just collecting what is visible. Experience of use
The fact of being powered by cable is in my opinion a winning choice, because at all times we have maximum suction power available with infinite autonomy, compared to battery models with which we would have obtained satisfactory results for only 6/7 minutes of use, definitely insufficient to thoroughly clean a mattress or sofa, especially if you have 4 cats as in my case.
Naturally I was not able to test the actual sterilization or extermination of bacteria and mites, but as previously mentioned the device is certified by the UK Allergy Foundation, so I would say we can trust it. The cleaning experience is pleasant thanks to the excellent ergonomics and quality of the materials used. The double brushes and the beating system guarantee a deep cleaning, taking out "rubbish" that I would not have seen with the naked eye, bypassing the cleaning of the surface itself because it is apparently clean. For the most classic cleaning it is not even necessary to go over the same point twice, which is instead recommended in the case of removing animal hair.
The ease of removing the dirt container and related filter also helps in further sanitizing them by rinsing them under water: simply open the door using the appropriate button on the upper surface, so as to avoid touching the dust directly with the hands. The practical display with visibility of the amount of dirt on the surfaces via a circular graphic allows you to optimize cleaning operations area by area, without leaving anything out.
Conclusions and price
The JIMMY BX7 Dual is sold for 159 euros on the official website but can also be purchased on Amazon with Prime shipping at a price of around 128 euros. Whatever your choice of where to buy it, you will be making an excellent investment. In fact, one might think that this product is aimed at a specific audience, but we do not necessarily have to suffer from allergies to mites and dust, to enjoy the benefits of ultra-thorough cleaning of what we and our children use every day.
It is certainly a product that works alongside a traditional floor vacuum cleaner or floor cleaning robot, a bit like you would do with coffee and sugar, two elements that together complement each other for a pleasurable experience.
