Decades ago the most important moments were immortalized through the shots of the cameras of the American company Kodak. The company was so important that the term "Kodak moment" also entered the common lexicon, referring to memorable personal events that needed to be photographed. Subsequently, Kodak suffered a long period of crisis, also due to the decision to enter the digital photography market, which arrived in guilty delay compared to its competitors.
The company is from poco out of bankruptcy and decided to launch the Ektra smartphone, whose strong point is, of course, the rear camera. The latter has a resolution capacity of 21 Mpx and f / 2.0 aperture, optical image stabilization, PDF and HDR and allows you to record in 4K. The viewfinder has the same design as that of a SLR, from which it borrows other familiar features, such as macro mode, portrait mode and manual mode, to name a few. On the front of the phone there is a 13 Mpx camera.
The other features of Ektra are still respectable, thanks to the 5 ″ Full HD display with Gorilla Glass protection, the 20 GHz Helio X2.3 processor and 3 Gb of RAM, all powered by a 3000 mAh battery. The space to store your shots is not lacking, thanks to the 32 Gb of ROM expandable via MicroSD.
Kodak also unveiled a series of cases, the design of which is reminiscent of the old bags once used to carry analog cameras. The smartphone will be available in December and will be sold for € 500.
