After the Xiaomi MIUI, Meizu's Flyme 6 is also available for other brands!

Many of you will already know that, since the dawn, Xiaomi has always developed ROMs for devices of other brands. Lately this trend has been going down a bit, but not for another brand that has launched into this new adventure: we are talking about Meizu who declared today that his FlymeOS 6 will also be made available for smartphones of other brands!

Meizu officially announces the port of FlymeOS 6

Once again, Weibo is the official news carrier. Meizu, in fact, announced that the next 9 May will be released a list of all devices that will officially receive the availability of FlymeOS 6 porting.

As mentioned, it is not so widespread that a customized manufacturer's ROM is made available for third-party smartphones. Except for Xiaomi, in fact, no other manufacturer has ever made their OS officially available to users of other brands. Will it be a commercial find?

Well, to think about it well, yes, yes. If you think about it, the owner of a different phone from Meizu can thus directly experience the company's operating system and, if it's okay, might decide to change brand.

But then will Meizu actually release a ROM to install on other smartphones? In fact, the answer is quite complicated at the technical level, but I will try to briefly explain the idea behind this Meizu project. Unlike what happens and happened with Xiaomi, that is, a complete release of a ROM to be installed ex novo, the Flyme code can be "inserted" within the system framework to enable and make available all those features of the OS Meizu that the user wants to activate. Of course, if you were interested in testing the entire Flyme as a whole, you could also decide to implement the entire Flyme 6 framework.

Try FlymeOS on smartphones Not Meizu is really within reach of everyone?

Perhaps that is the element that continues to make Xiaomi unique in its genre. In fact, while the MIUIs developed for other non-Xiaomi devices, save the flash and some small settings, do not involve any effort from the user, FlymeOS porting will require some additional knowledge: as stated by Meizu himself, in fact, it is It is true that a tool will be installed that will implement the code within the system files, but it will be essential for the user to keep track of the updates and advice that Meizu will distribute.

But what are these features that will be made available? The functions are so many and are almost all of Flyme's, but among them are certainly the online search for answers to questions and photographed problems and the ability to customize the theme and videos recorded through dedicated filters.

I do not bother you anymore but I want to leave you with a question: are you going to be so daring to leave MIUI to experience FlymeOS on your Xiaomi?
