The latest Xiaomi crowdfunding for coffee cups… space!

After thinking about the intimacy of his fans, with the Mijia panties, Xiaomi realizes yet another crowfunding but this time being the objects of Chinese company innovation are coffee cups. What's wrong? Find out with us in this short article!

Here are the Xiaomi cups in "space" style

The reason for this title and definition is soon explained: the colors and types of wood used will be identified with the names of the planets as you can see from the image below.

Top to Bottom Order:

  • Boxwood - China
  • Black Walnut - USA
  • White Beech - Germany
  • Afro African-Africa

Thanks to the designer Wen Qing, Xiaomi has also managed this time to offer a quality product that, above all, the fans did not expect! In fact, the cups are made of porcelain - and China for porcelain has an enviable history -, with a diameter of 6,5 cm and a height of 6,1 cm for a capacity of 140 ml. To understand, our coffee cups are identical in both sizes and capacities!

The saucer, however, is also made of wood, will be walnut wood, at least for the first sales. It is not excluded that you will find saucers combined with the color of the wooden ball that acts as a handle. The diameter of the saucer is 10,5 cm for a thickness of 0,8 cm.

Before switching to prices and how to participate in crowdfunding, we would like to point out that all used woods are obtained without any paintwork but exclusively through 5 subsequent smoothing, while the knob can be screwed through a wooden pin:

But let's get to the point! The price of two cups, with two knobs and two saucers, will be 99 yuan, currently discounted at 94 yuan (about 12 euros) while that for the complete set of 4 is 169 yuan (about 23 euros). TO this link you can make the purchase but not for us: in fact crowdfunding is aimed exclusively at Chinese fans ... so we unlucky extra-China fans will have to wait for the cups to be actually available on the market.
