We have tried Bluetooth earphones of all shapes and sizes, but today we return to talk about a great classic proposed by SoundPeats, namely the T3 Pro, in-ear design headphones that certainly have the advantage of being offered at an ultra-competitive price, but with high-end features.
Personally, I am very fond of this brand, as I still own some models that continue to perform as well as the first day of use, while I had to throw away products from more famous brands because the battery ran out. Let's start from the beginning, that is, the unboxing experience, which inside the well-designed box, includes a USB/USB-C cable for charging, an instruction manual that includes the Italian language, a pair of silicone tips with S/L dimensions to better adapt the earphones to the shape of our ear (a pair of M-size rubber tips is already inserted) and finally also a series of cute stickers with the company's mascot, in addition of course to the charging case and the protagonists of this review, the SoundPeats T3 Pro.
Both earphones and case are made of plastic, with a good build quality, indeed the leather effect of the case gives a premium feel to the product, while on an aesthetic level in general, they do not particularly stand out, but personally I prefer them to the many products that only make a scene but then turn out to be all smoke and no roast, to be clear like the products of NOTHING or CMF. There is also resistance to liquids with IPX4 certification.
English: The case is surprisingly small and thin, with sinuous pebble-style shapes, a great added value for portability in general, allowing you to keep the case in a pocket of your pants, even the tightest ones, without creating any discomfort. Despite the economic nature of the product, the lid has an excellent hinge and the closure is magnetic, but above all the hall sensor is integrated, which allows a quick pairing of the earphones to the smartphone simply by opening it. On the back there is the Type-C connector for charging, the only way to charge the case, so wireless charging is absent, while on the front there is a small LED that attests, based on the color, the degree of residual charge. Inside, there are the SoundPeats T3 Pro, anchored by means of magnets that hook onto the pogo pins for charging the headphones, very solid and that do not make the earphones fall even with strong jolts. Finally, between the two audio elements there is a small button that will be used to reset the product to factory conditions.
The shape of the SoundPeats T3 Pro is typical for this type of product, with an in-ear design, therefore with a rubber tip at the end of the driver protrusion. They are still comfortable to use even during sports activities, remaining firmly in their position without the risk of falling to the ground. I would like to emphasize once again the comfort (4,15 grams of earphones, 44,5 grams of the case with earphones inserted), thanks to the ergonomics given by the slightly oval rubber tips and the right angle of insertion inside the ear canal. Precisely because of the form factor, the acoustic insulation is already quite good, but at the software level it is possible to benefit from the active noise reduction ANC up to -35dB but also from the Transparency mode, which instead will highlight environmental noise, a useful function especially if we do sports or manage phone calls in the car while driving.
But let's talk about battery life first, since the SoundPeats T3 Pro can reach about 28 hours of music playback, through 3/4 recharges of the case, with a battery life of 7 hours with a single charge, but this is if we do not use the ANC function, which brings the battery life of the single charge to a value of 5 hours. We find a 40 mAh unit on a single earphone and 450 mAh for the case with a charge that settles around an hour and a half for full energy.
The drivers are 12 mm and offer an immersive and nuanced sound, with a good depth of bass and warmth in general for every track and musical genre. Through the app, however, we can also draw on different audio presets, customize the EQ curve or create an adaptive equalization based on our listening. What is also convincing are the 4 microphones, 2 for each earphone, which offer extraordinary call quality, using the AI-based ENC technology, which will clean the conversation from annoying noises, enhancing our voice in a clear and crystalline way.
The connection to the smartphone is via Bluetooth 5.4 which only offers the AAC/SBC codec, but with multipoint connectivity, that is, the SoundPeats T3 Pro can connect to two devices at the same time, for example managing music on one and calls on the other device. The audio transfer also occurs automatically. There is no shortage of touch controls that through single, double, triple or prolonged pressure allow you to manage play/pause, skip the track, call the voice assistant, manage the volume, enable the ANC/Transparency mode or the game mode. In fact, among the audio features we find the game mode that reduces latency to values close to zero (0,08 seconds), therefore being able to use these earphones also in the gaming field, but it does not end there because we also have the Cinema mode, which will bring the audio with a spatial effect inside your ear for a truly cinema-like experience.
Of course, through the companion app, available for free for both Android and iOS, we can customize the touch controls on the individual earphones, in fact we do not have a master headset and therefore we could also use a single earphone to double the battery life, but in this circumstance ANC / Transparency or cinema mode will not work. The beauty of the app is that we can also update the firmware of the headphones, if the company releases software improvements.
The SoundPeats T3 Pro were a pleasant surprise. Comfortable, light, audio above all expectations for both multimedia content playback and calls, with 4 excellent microphones. Complete touch controls and top-of-the-range features such as ANC and Transparency, cinematic audio, multipoint connection and an app that allows you to customize every aspect. All this for less than 30 euros, about 27 euros redeeming the coupon available on the purchase page on Amazon. At this price I can only call them queens, authentic best buys. Madness not to buy them, so don't hesitate before the offer is no longer valid.
