Whenever Xiaomi launches a new smartphone, we always wonder how long the Global version will take to reach our market. For Mi 9 the Chinese company has tore every expectation, since less than a week after the official launch, the device could already be ordered on the Amazon store, immediately becoming the best seller in its category. Yesterday, however, the company also launched Redmi 7, an entry-level device that in China will tear up all competition thanks to a really aggressive price, but for the Global version it might not be so attractive to purchase, which could therefore be diverted to the older brother Redmi Note 7 Global.
In fact, it seems that the appealing aesthetics and hardware not really from Redmi 7's entry level will bring the list price to around 150 / 160 euros with debut in Germany. Moreover this is the price referred to the minor version, the one from 3 / 32 GB while there are still no rumors about the price of the 3 / 64 GB variant. Oh I know, you're thinking the same thing that I think, considering a price of 179 euro relative to Redmi Note 7 Global makes no sense buying this new Redmi device.
The differences, however, seem to all play in favor of Redmi Note 7 compared to the new entry in the Redmi team which boasts an 6,26 inch panel in HD + compared to the 6,3 inch Full HD + screen of the older brother, both with drop notch. A step forward certainly compared to the unfortunate Redmi 6 equipped with a MediaTek CPU, but this is not enough to make the new Redmi device appealing.
Autonomy at the top but price poco desirable
That is why the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun, loudly emphasizes the attention to consumption of the new Redmi 7, which uses a new graphite anode, with high chemical stability which combined with the AI support of the software should guarantee a fabulous autonomy. In fact, taking advantage of the Snapdragon 632 processor, 400 seems to be the hours of autonomy in redby giving the Redmi 7, but in my opinion this is not enough given the 4000 mAh that Redmi Note 7 offers its users.
However, we await further confirmation or denial, waiting to get our hands on this small, weakened but certainly satisfying smartphone. The price becomes interesting if you think of the offer in progress by the GrossoShop store that offers the new smartpone at a price of 155 euro with cover and tempered glass for free.
