LibreTube: Youtube Premium features at no cost

Although there are forms of social entertainment, such as Instagram, TikTok, etc., the platform that continues to delight us in our leisure hours remains YouTube, even if some functions that many users seek remain available only to those who subscribe to a premium subscription.

Here on the blog, we have seen how many times get certain exclusive features, through gods tricks or applications alternatives of which today I list one, to say the least poco perfect, within everyone's reach as you won't have to perform any modding operation other than downloading the APK, of which I'll leave you the direct download link below.

Let's talk about the LIBRETUBE application which in its simplicity is complete and functional. Once opened we are shown 3 tabs, including the Main Page, Subscriptions and Collection.
The Main Page initially shows all the trending videos of the moment, but by clicking on the magnifying glass icon located at the top right, we can search for videos, channels, playlists and songs.

The Subscriptions tab, just like YouTube, will show you all the channels you've followed, but the interesting thing is that you don't need an account to follow your favorites, an advantage on the one hand but a disadvantage on the other, as you will not be able to comment on the video or leave a like/dislike.
Finally, the Collection tab, as the name suggests, is a sort of container where you will find your downloads, video history and any bookmarks.

Once you start playing a video, the player interface is very similar to that seen on Youtube, so much so that in landscape mode with a pinch on the screen you can put the video in full screen. You can then access a menu from which to decide whether to activate/deactivate automatic playback or repeat mode, as well as set the video playback speed, decide the quality and enable subtitles. But the most interesting thing is the shield-shaped icon that will be used to block ADS, i.e. the advertisements that we usually see forcibly on the native Youtube player.

Still on the subject of the video, we can share the link, but in two ways: the classic one with redirects on the YouTube player or in the Piped "format", an alternative to the classic YouTube. Through the Save function we can instead create a personalized viewing playlist or add the video to a previously created playlist. The most interesting functions, however, are found in the Download button, which will allow us to download the video, also changing the name of the same, as well as deciding whether to save the complete video, or just the audio track or movie.
The icon in the shape of headphones, on the other hand, allows you to play only the audio track, without the images distracting you or useful when you turn off the smartphone screen, leaving the track playing in the background. Finally, you can play the video in pop-up format, using your smartphone with other applications without giving up entertainment.

Of course you can also customize LibreTube through the Settings module reachable from the 3 dots icon at the top right. From here you have the possibility to set the region and language, enable automatic rotation, view related content and even receive a break reminder if you are in front of the smartphone screen for a long time.

You can then painstakingly set the ad blocker parameters, adjust the appearance parameters by even changing the app icon, import subscriptions from Youtube and much more. In short, considering that LibreTube is a totally free application, I'd say it's worth a try if you're looking for exclusive features at no cost. I'm already in love with it and what are you waiting for to download and install it? If you know of alternatives, do not hesitate to indicate them to us in the comments box, we will try them for you…
