The controversy surrounding Lin Bin follows that of another of the founders, Li Wanqiang, who instead officially left the company on November 29 last year. Wanqiang was known as Xiaomi's "father of marketing" and recently also resigned from some positions in the companies: Xiaomi Pictures Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xiaomi Software Technology Co., Ltd.
