UNBOXING & ACCESSORIES
The unboxing experience is quite simple but still accurate. Opening the package, protected by a cardboard with the image of the product and some specifications, we immediately find the earphones positioned inside a sponge/cardboard as if they were high jewelry earrings. Underneath them we then find a case containing the rubber tips of different sizes to adapt the headphones to the different cavities of the ear, an instruction manual, some replacement grilles and finally the cable with 3,5 mm connection.

BUILD QUALITY AND ERGONOMICS
A medical grade resin shell is used to enclose the hardware component of these earphones. The design is decidedly pleasant and modern thanks also to a play of contrasts: glossy black shell and silver back plate with silver logo with a raised effect. The edges are well rounded and offer a comfortable fit inside the ear, as well as an excellent grip and excellent stability. Another thing that helps is the ultra light weight and size, an ideal combination for adapting to most ears without problems. No pressure once worn, in fact, on the shell there is a small air intake that balances the pressure between the outside and the inside of our ear, avoiding the "bubble" effect that you would have with a common in-ear earphone. The nozzle contributes to the stability of the KiwiEars KE4, not at all uncomfortable or cumbersome inside the ear.

CABLE
KiwiEars KE4 come with the same cable as products from the same brand but at a much lower price, which could turn your nose up a bit. In any case, the combination is not bad at all, in fact, in terms of audio performance, everything sounds deliciously fluid, without distortion and with excellent bass performance without overwhelming the other frequencies. The brand does not mention the materials used, but the cable should be copper.

The cable extends to the pins for attaching to the audio capsules, it is flexible, soft and anti-tangle. We find the 3,5 mm jack reinforced by a metal armor and finally a small metal loop to adjust the width of the wire when worn.

SOUND QUALITY
I tried the Linsoul KiwiEars KE4 with many sources and I had no problems with any of them. To be clear, they do not need “power” to sound their best. I also used them with a DAC dongle, the Hidizs S9 Pro, with a smartphone, with an old MP3 player and the result was always clear audio, without hiss, without delays and in fact we can safely use them for gaming.

The KiwiEars KE4 features the highest quality drivers, featuring a 2-Dynamic Driver (2DD) Isobaric Subwoofer System, paired with 2 Full-Range Speakers and Balanced Armature Tweeters (2BA). The dual 10mm custom dynamic drivers are specifically tuned to focus on the impact and slam of the sub-bass, making kick drums and bass stand out with serious presence. Additionally, the custom RAD 33518 BA driver with enhanced venting ensures seamless integration of the bass with the mids, providing lush, textured vocals and instruments. The inclusion of an American-made Knowles RAD 33518 tweeter delivers crystal-clear, natural-sounding highs with excellent upper-frequency extension, resulting in an airy, detailed sound signature.

These IEMs feature a 3-way passive crossover system and three independent sound tubes, allowing for precise separation and blending of frequencies. The shells are made from durable medical-grade resin, ensuring longevity and comfort, while the hand-finished faceplates add a touch of elegance to the design. This level of craftsmanship reflects the brand’s commitment to providing high-quality audio products that are both aesthetically pleasing and sonically superior.

All this allows for precision and definition of the highs, while the lows are warm, full-bodied and with full notes. The most impressive thing is the balance of things: when deep, full-bodied and incisive bass, well-balanced mids, natural timbres, very good highs and a large stage come together, the result is miraculous with a musical essence that can make headphones costing over 1000 euros envious. Some technical data about the sensitivity of 102 dB (±1 dB) and the impedance of 28 Ohm.
