List of all the Xiaomi that will receive Android 7.0 Nougat

Da poco the list of Xiaomi smartphones that will receive the update to Android 7.0 Nougat circulates on the net.

Let's start with the flagships of the XiaoMi range: all the latest smartphones will be upgraded to Android Nougat, with the exception of Mi 3 and the first Mi Note. So we are talking about: Mi 4, Mi 5, Mi 5S, Mi 5S Plus, Mi Note 2, Mi Max and Mi Mix.

RedMi 3S, RedMi 3S Prime, RedMi 3A, RedMi 4 and RedMi 4 Prime are all up to date with RedMi 4S and above.

A special note for the RedMi Note lineup: the RedMi Note 3 and RedMi Note 4 will receive Android 7.0, although it is not specified whether it is the MediaTek or Snapdragon version. But seeing how the version with soc MTK of the RedMi Note 3 has been treated it can definitely be said that this will not receive the latest build of Android.

For those who want to take a quick look at what is said above, here is a useful table:

What do you think about Xiaomi plans? Do you think that you should extend the upgrade to other terminals? Let us know by commenting on this article.

All right.
Do you have information about release dates?

Eh, we can not invent dates.?

The dates are known when Xiaomi releases the final update, not before. Until then it's just guesswork.

The important thing is that it arrives ?. But am I sure that Xiaomi does not disappoint despite the initial concern?

Ah OK.
It's my first Xiaomi smartphone, with the others I've had usually known about the dates (month or four months).
The day I come out I will know it without any article.

But why nobody ever names the Mi Note Pro? ?

A similar variant is left out as if it were right, instead it is much more you can, with better features and will receive the update to Android 7.0 as also confirmed by the stop of updates because it is in beta phase the miui with 7 ... but you have to see when they will release because they will release it anyway, and God forbid given the power and output following the Mi Note model… it will be a real monster with better performance and more efficient battery life. Not that it's not already great now, on the contrary. I only use my computer for advanced graphics and music programs. All the rest... Read the rest »

They talk about the Mi Note (which will not receive nougat as it has the SD801)… MAH!
I know it's in the test (I'm the moderator of Mi Note / Pro section on the official miui forum?) And I also use this device instead of my PC (apart from things I need a big screen).

Ah here then you understand ... the fact is that the Mi Note is known more as it sold more models and indeed it was the first updated to Android 6, leaving the users of the Mi Note Pro annoyed who instead had a more recent and more powerful terminal. Now we just need to know the release date. Do you know something about it? And another question that you may be aware of, adapters for European sockets are very fragile and often widen starting to wobble the contacts until they come off. Do you know where to find durable adapters?

However, in these blogs, they are wrong in naming the Mi Note (non Pro) as next to the update to nougat (due to research poco deepen, since the original sources expressly speak of the Pro version), because they give false hope to the owners of this device. According to what I noticed, Xiaomi decided to upgrade the Mi Note to marshmellow (without upgrading the Pro) because it knew, that due to the processor, they could not upgrade to nougat or later. In doing so they skipped the MM upgrade for the Pro, to make the users of both "families" "happy". Yes, it is... Read the rest »

Maybe you have sockets in the house that are all identical and that match perfectly with the contacts of the adapter but I have different sockets and they tend to detach completely, indeed some I have to maneuver them well before letting them in ... well ... one is gone, the other seems on the same street. Although they cost 1-2 €. Now I also got a black cover that I was looking for on ebay for € 5 + € 4 shipping that says that it is scratchproof, resistant and can be washed at will, there are only two left, let's see, since it is very, very slippery so and took several blows! 🙁 I set it up... Read the rest »

Maybe then you should take at least two adapters at a time? I use a transparent TPU cover (to make sure it covers the phone as little as possible) and tempered glass film, from the first month, to avoid any scratches (am I a freak about these things?). I too was a bit discouraged when I saw the Mi Note update, but I held up because, since it had gone directly from KK to MM, a little voice in me said that such a thing would happen and it did (they are things anyway that I have deduced, not information that... Read the rest »

Well I can wait if I have to, but this new system will increase autonomy and performance so it's a must, but 6 months would be a bit long. Then, however, Xiaomi is famous because it makes frequent and functional updates, but if it has to become like Samsung that releases a terminal every month and delays the updates to the previous ones then no, it loses a lot. At the moment I'm better off removing the weekly issue of each Roma and concentrating on the monthly one for everyone so as to make it more efficient. Then, however, from the beginning I put the Chinese rom developer without a block... Read the rest »

The Xiaomi voucher is that, although it does a lot of terminals, it keeps updating (not always the Android version, however, because over time, operating systems are calling for more power to a cellphone and so some will not do it).
I stayed on the Chinese developer (in English of course) because it is the most complete one, which works best is above all official.

Mo excuse me ... this is new to me ... because you have chosen the Chinese developer if there are the stable one which is still better than the dev because it is bug free and ensures correct daily use and in addition there is the version translated by xiaomi.eu.che ensures good use for both the weekly and the stable? What's better? Don't trust the addition of something or have you simply noticed changes that have made the Rom worse? Because I really have never noticed anything abnormal in the latest international stable except (but with all the roms) a rustle during the audio recording of the... Read the rest »

1- If you read in the forum, there are more complaints of instability and problems for the stable than for the developer 2- the developer already has half root (which I integrate with a small tweak) without having to install twrp or superSU (which can anyway give problems in some cases) 3- I don't trust the "internationals" because they are not official and in any case they got their hands on them and they can give problems that the English developer does not have (like in your case the rustle), I have no problems with English and in any case the apps I install are in Italian. 4- doing the... Read the rest »

What do you intend for opportune conjurations? I do not see how SuperSu or Twrp can give problems, after all they give the root and the possibility of having a modified recovery with which to flash zip and create nandroid backup, then maybe it does not make you mount the partition to the PC from there but eventually use the 'adb from Cmd to transfer files. I don't find any hitches in the system for these changes. Then if the problems I have are due to the ROM then I seriously think about switching to the developer who then makes me ask what sense does the building have and why call it that ... well. It should... Read the rest »

"Opportune precautions" since so far I have not had any problems whatsoever in use, for superstitious reasons I make a "sgrat-sgrat"?. Bugs may also come out on the developer but, being updated weekly, they are also resolved faster, while for the building you have to wait AT LEAST a month in case of problems ... And in the meantime, what do you do? Do you swear in ancient Aramaic? To some users, the presence of twrp and superSU caused the soft brick and most of the time inhibits the OTA. I only use the original rom, so I don't need recovery or superSU and I have the daily OTAs... Read the rest »

Okay if you haven't had any problems so far… don't you wish them? ? ... but I fear the fact that for example a weekly update will affect my wifi or ruin the signal just when I need it and I can't use it. If you tell me that you haven't had any particular problems… what does softbrick mean? Bootloop? I have had a lot of problems like this but as long as the problem is software it is repaired in a I don't know why, in fact I got to the point that the phone did not open and resetting it returned as new but I try them all... Read the rest »
