A few days ago we read about a rumor regarding a new smartphone POCO which would be equipped with a 120Hz display, that rumor is now followed by some official info coming from several international certification sites, including FCC, BIS and TÜV Rheinland Japan.
POCO X3 with 120Hz AMOLED screen certified online
Let's start with the FCC body in which we find a device POCO with model number “M2007J20CG” and “M2007J20CT”. According to the online certificate, the POCO runs with MIUI 12 and is equipped with a battery with model number "BN57" and a 12W "Xiaomi MDY-33-EA" charger. In another FCC certificate we discover instead that the smartphone will adopt a 64MP camera in a rectangular module with rounded edges, therefore slightly different than the POCO F2 Pro released a few months ago. Also on the back we will then find a central strip that will go from the camera module to the logo of POCO down.
According to famed Indian leakster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), the device has also received BIS and TÜV Rheinland Japan certifications. In the latter certificate we also discover that the battery capacity will be 5160mAh.
Then there are the TKDN and CEE certifications, but these have revealed nothing to us except the fact that it is a branded 4G smartphone POCO.
In any case, as mentioned above, the most interesting specification of this mysterious smartphone will be the display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. At the moment the brand POCO already has a smartphone with a 120Hz screen, it is the POCO X2 released in July, a mid-range device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720. That display, however, was an IPS LCD type, while on the new terminal of POCO we should find an AMOLED panel. This should also result in the presence of a fingerprint sensor under the screen, a more performing CPU and therefore a higher price.
Finally, the unknown availability remains as it could become an exclusive of the Indian market like many other devices POCO.
