The entry level smartphone that we saw certified a few days ago by the brand POCO it would have just leaked online again. The new leak confirms almost with certainty that we are facing yet another rebrand of POCO for the Indian country.
POCO C3 caught in an online certificate: Will it be another rebrand?
Specifically, a device with the name of has just appeared on the site of the Bluetooth certification body POCO C3. This POCO C3 comes with the model number “M2006C3MI” which as we can see in the image above is very similar to that of the Redmi 9 series presented in July. This leads us to think that the POCO C3 is actually a rebrand of one of the Redmi 9, 9A and 9C, with the former having a slight priority over the other two (Here our review).
There still remains the doubt about the motivation behind the choice of this name. As you know, there is neither a POCO C1, nor a C2, so going straight to C3 doesn't make much sense. That said, the brand POCO is not new to jumping generational numbers, like the POCO X2 (there is no X1) and the POCO M2 Pro (also here there is none POCO M1 or M2). Not to mention the POCO F1 which instead of being followed by F2 saw a leap to F2 Pro.
In any case, as regards the specifications, the smartphone should equip a MediaTek Helio G80 as processor, while for the photographic sector we have a 13MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide angle, a 5MP macro and a depth sensor from 2MP. For selfies we will use an 8MP camera instead.
The Redmi terminal then adopts a 5020mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, sees a fingerprint sensor positioned just below the photographic compartment, a 3,5mm headphone jack, IR blaster and multifunction NFC, also supports use of dual SIM and has a microSD card slot.
