POCO X3 NFC vs Redmi Note 9T 5G: which one to choose between the two?

Xiaomi offers its audience smartphones suitable for every price range, often also making use of the Redmi and sub brands POCO, too often competing at home, because the devices that arrive on the market on balance offer the same performance and hardware, with small differences that then also affect the price. With the arrival of the recent Redmi Note 9T 5G, things get even more complicated, because at a starting price of 249 euros, the new 5G connectivity it enjoys could be an element in its favor in choosing a new one. smartphone but the price range puts it in direct competition with another valid and fearsome rival, namely the POCO X3NFC.

POCO X3 NFC vs Redmi Note 9T 5G: which one to choose between the two?

So let's find out together the differences between the two devices and try to understand who one or the other phone is aimed at, because we will discover that sometimes a lower price means having more benefits, but I don't want to spoil you too much and in the meantime I refer you to table below, where the major differences between Redmi Note 9T 5G and POCO X3NFC.

From the table it emerges therefore that the new device presented by the Redmi brand is better as regards handling, with smaller dimensions and a weight under 200 grams, although we specify that the terminal still remains a "pan", indeed in some respects the smaller dimensions also affect the diagonal of the display, which is therefore smaller than the home rival POCO and therefore qualitatively lower also due to the 120 Hz refresh rate offered by the X3 NFC compared to the canonical 60 Hz of the Note 9T 5G.

For the rest, Redmi Note 9T 5G compared to the antagonist offers 5G connectivity and the ability to expand the memory via micro SD with support up to 512 GB compared to the "only" 256 GB of POCO X3 NFC. Here, too, a little reflection should be made, as with regard to memory expansion, reaching 256 GB is more than enough, so much so that there are many users who, for example, do not use a micro SD card on their phone. exclusively of the memory offered by your smartphone.

Secondly, 5G connectivity in Italy is not yet so widespread, not even in big cities so having it or not having it on a smartphone (in my opinion) is not a discriminating factor in choosing one terminal over another, indeed in our tests. we were able to appreciate terminals that go at crazy speeds, using only 4G, not even 4G +, such as the Realme 7 of which we brought you from poco the review on the channel.

The points in favor instead of POCO X3 NFC are so many, such as the support for a 33 W recharge, the IP53 certification and the presence of an ultrawide optic that in some situations really makes the difference. Then there is to say that POCO X3 NFC thanks to the Qualcomm home processor undoubtedly enjoys greater support at the community level for what concerns the modding and development of custom ROMs, compared to the MediaTek solution of Redmi Note 9T 5G, which, however powerful it may not be will never enjoy the mod that instead circulate for the rival, just think of GCam etc ..

Also on an aesthetic level I personally prefer POCO X3 NFC, for example for symmetry in the display, as the punch hole is positioned centrally instead of on one side of the panel. Perhaps few will appreciate the large lettering POCO on the back of the phone, even if once you hold the device in your hand, you will fall in love with it for the light effects returned. In short, it is clear that the winner of this comparison turns out to be the POCO X3 NFC, also because the official sale price is lower than the rival Redmi Note 9T 5G.

So who is the creation of Redmi recommended to? I would recommend it only to those interested in 5G connectivity technology, to those who need more storage space on micro SD memory and those who are attentive to the size and weight of the phone, even if it cannot be considered a compact terminal. For everyone else, the best solution is POCO X3 NFC, which offers greater autonomy and more efficient and powerful fast charging, but also performance inclined to gaming, counting on a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is not poco on such a cheap price.
