On January 27, the well-known leakster OnLeaks broke the news that MediaTek has a high-end Soc which has not yet been announced, called Dimensity 1300, which is an updated version of MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and which could be launched by OnePlus Nord 2T.
MediaTek close to the launch of the next Dimensity 1300 chipset
As we all know, the Dimensity 1200 is based on TSMC's 6nm process. It consists of 1 * 3,0GHz A78 + 3 * 2,6GHz A78 + 4 * 2,0GHz A55. The GPU is Mali-G77 MC9 and supports a refresh rate of up to 168Hz.
In terms of performance, the Dimensity 1200's AnTuTu score is around 720.000 points, which is comparable to the first generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 870's AnTuTu score.
As an updated version, the Dimensity 1300 could continue to be manufactured by TSMC and should continue the eight-core solution of super-large core + large core + small core on Dimensity 1200. The large core should be Cortex A78 and the full score of AnTuTu will surpass Snapdragon 870.
This new high-end chipset will be mass-produced for commercial use in the first half of this year. We remember that last year, devices with Dimensity 1200 reached a price of 1.000 yuan, about 140 euros at the exchange rate, therefore an excellent value for money.
