MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus: The chip will arrive sooner than expected (leak)

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9300 chip in October 2024, but recent reports suggest that some smartphone makers are already working on devices powered by the upcoming chipset Dimension 9400 Plus. In fact, it was thought that the D9400+ could make its debut in the second quarter of this year, given the announcement of the Dimensity 9300 Plus in Q2 2024. However, a new leak, provided by the well-known leakster Digital Chat Stationn, reveals that the launch could happen much sooner than expected.

The next Dimensity 9400 Plus, supposedly a overclocked version, it could reach maximum processing speeds of up to 3,7GHz, while the current Dimensity 9400 stops at 3,63GHz. Digital Chat Station revealed that the D9400+ should become official in March.

Two manufacturers are preparing devices to be the first to release phones with this new chipset. One is a relatively small, thin phone with a flat screen and a periscope camera, while the other is a large, photography-focused phone with a flat screen and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

While he didn't specify the exact models, based on the information available, the former could be the Oppo Find X8S, while the latter is likely the Vivo X200S, as both devices are slated to launch soon.

In addition to the above-mentioned devices, the Redmi K80 Ultra and iQOO Neo 10S Pro are also expected to feature the Dimensity 9400. According to reports, Vivo is also developing the Vivo Pad 4 Pro tablet, which will feature the Dimensity 9400+. It looks like the tablet could debut in June or July this year.

The early launch of the Dimensity 9400+ is a strategic move by MediaTek to remain competitive in the high-performance chipset market. The increased processing speed and expected optimizations are expected to deliver superior performance in next-generation devices.

Now we can do nothing but wait for the official presentation or maybe some leak that gives us a preview.
