MediaTek Announces Dimensity 9400e, Over 2.45 Million on AnTuTu

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9400e, a new flagship chipset that will power high-end smartphones, including the OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition and the Realme GT 7, expected to hit the market in May 2025.

MediaTek announces Dimensity 9400e, over 2.45 million on AnTuTu

The Dimensity 9400e sits just below the 9400 and 9400+ in the Dimensity family, yet still offers nearly equivalent power with some minor differences. Built with the TSMC's third-generation 4nm process, the chipset adopts an All Big Core CPU configuration, with one 4GHz Cortex-X3.4, three 4GHz Cortex-X2.85 and four 720GHz Cortex-A2.0. The L3 cache memory reaches 8MB, while the SLC cache reaches 10MB, improving data management and operating speed.

The graphic sector is entrusted to Immortalis-G720 MC12, a 12-core GPU that supports hardware ray tracing, a feature designed for ultra-immersive gaming experiences.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Dimensity 9400e is the improved connectivity, with 7.3Gbps Wi-Fi, up from the 6.5Gbps of the 9300+, and Bluetooth 6.0, with a line-of-sight range of up to 5km. The chipset also supports up to 5MHz LPDDR8533X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast data transfer speeds.

Integrated artificial intelligence leverages the NeuroPilot SDK platform, enabling language and vision models to run directly on the device, including DeepSeek-R1-Distill model processing, improving image handling, performance optimization, and user interaction.

MediaTek introduced a number of gaming-focused technologies with the Dimensity 9400e, including HyperEngine system and Adaptive Gaming Technology, to ensure fluidity and stability in competitive games. A significant innovation is the Frame Rate Converter, which reduces power consumption by 40%, optimizing the autonomy of the devices without sacrificing performance.

According to benchmarks, the Dimensity 9400e achieved over 2.45 million points on AnTuTu, positioning itself among the most powerful mobile processors. It will be used in devices such as the Realme GT 7, launching globally on May 27, and the OnePlus Ace5 Racing Edition, both capable of reaching 120FPS in games, improving responsiveness and visual fluidity.

With the Dimensity 9400e, MediaTek continues to close the gap on Qualcomm, focusing on advanced gaming and AI technologies. It remains to be seen whether this chipset will be able to directly compete with Snapdragon models, or if it will simply represent an incremental improvement over the 9300+. In any case, the 9400e presents impressive numbers, but field testing will be crucial to verify its real-world impact on smartphone performance.
