Mi Mix 3 and 8K: off the first 8K Ultra HD video session

At the end of last month Xiaomi has delighted us with the presentation of the penultimate top of the range devoted to design (but also to performance, let's face it) in version 5G. We are talking about Mi Mix 3, which was presented during l MWC 2019 of Barcelona and that amazed not only for the "updated" services compared to the standard version, but also for the price: in fact, the price of launching the device was set at 599 €. Unusual a price like this for Xiaomi but it is also true that the 5G technology was not at all easy to develop. In any case, this is not what interests us here, but its combination with another type of video technology: the Ultra HD 8K.

Mi Mix 3 and 8K: off the first 8K Ultra HD video session

Our device equipped with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and X50 modem indeed he succeeded, through the partnership between Xiaomi e China Unicom, to broadcast a video in Ultra HD 8K on a TV via the 5G technology at Shanghai. According to the sources the scene represented on the TV would have an extremely high quality for what we are used to seeing (for now we have 4K that already seems a lot to us). The performance of the Mi 3 Mix on TV is great: zero delays and excellent video quality. According to the sources this type of video session has reached a degree of proximity to the real image quite high and therefore it is not excluded that in the near future this type of session will be available for us too. It will take some time, of course, but the fact that we have arrived at this point suggests that we are already at good point in the development.

In fact, let us not forget that Xiaomi, with regard to the 5G speech, he made a shrewd with TIM which will make its research centers available to Xiaomi developers. Obviously, as already said, it will not happen in the near future but it will happen and this is already something.

We also remember what was referred to recently MWC 2019: Xiaomi officially made a call to 5G leaning on the European Orange operator (once France Télécom) and also wanted to say that this 5G is a "True 5G"And not a fake ... who knows what it refers to.
