The Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is also known for the launch of numerous products and services belonging to the most varied market categories. One of these services offered by the company is Mi Pay, a payment application based on UPI, a Google Pay style service launched in December 2018. In particular, at this time Xiaomi launched the new version, Mi Pay 2.0, on the Google store.
Let us start by saying that the service is currently not available in Italy and that it is mostly dedicated to the users of the Indian market, but the fact that the application is now available on the Google Play Store could imply that Xiaomi is thinking to enter this "market" in the western world, where Big G services are fundamental. Mi Pay is similar to the other UPI-based payment apps available on the market right now, but still allows money to be transferred between family and friends. It is also possible to pay in a physical store and make bill payments and mobile phone top-ups.

Another peculiarity of the app Mi Pay is the deep integration with Xiaomi devices, so that it is possible to exploit all the potential of the app also from the contacts menu (to transfer money for example) or from the VAULT APP, the scanner app etc. Of course a MI account is required to take advantage of Mi Pay.
