After so many sacrifices for the purchase of a car, it is necessary to keep it tidy and clean, especially if children, elderly people or animals travel on board, just as if it were our home. The object of desire of all lovers of cleaning even in the car is undoubtedly a vacuum cleaner, powerful and portable but which product should you turn to without spending a fortune? Specifically, today I will talk to you about the MTL014 vacuum cleaner, ideal for cleaning cars but also homes and offices.
The sales package is well-finished, with all the elements contained inside protected by bubble wrap. We naturally find our MTL014 composed of a motor body and dirt tank with an inserted HEPA filter. Following we have an additional spare HEPA filter, a bag for transporting the product and its accessories, well-made and with an external surface that seems to be treated to slide off any splashes of water. Finally we have a charging base with its built-in wired charger, which I could define as a small defect because if the charger breaks we have to throw everything away. This little gem, designed especially for cleaning cars (but can also be used at home without any problems), has some truly interesting features that few in this range offer. First of all, we must mention the WASHABLE HEPA filter, which allows it to absorb and retain up to 85% of the dirt that passes through it. I would also like to add the presence of a small LED light that can be activated via the button above the power button, which allows you to understand what you are cleaning even in dark areas.
But the real star is the powerful 120W motor with 9000 Pa suction power, capable of collecting everything from simple dust/ash to coarse dirt such as cigarette butts or small pebbles, all aided by the accessories included in the package and the long battery life.
The operation of this “mini” vacuum cleaner is very simple: thanks to its internal motor with great power (120 Watts), a “depression” is generated that allows you to effectively suck up all the dirt from your car (or furniture at home), trapping the finest dust in the special HEPA filter (and preventing it from returning to circulation, also for your health). All you have to do is press the power button up and possibly shed light via the LED integrated into the motor body, in the darkest corners of the car or clean it even at night, or under furniture. In addition, we also find a convenient LED light indicator that attests to the status of the integrated battery.
In fact, the MintHouz cleaning accessory is portable and therefore you can use it at any time and anywhere. The large 3-cell battery for 2200 mAh offers an autonomy of up to 30 minutes, more than enough to clean a car, unless it is filthy. On the other hand, however, in the package we do not have a power supply for the cigarette lighter socket, which would have allowed use away from home in case the vacuum cleaner is flat. The battery is of the Lithium Ion type, so as to avoid that annoying memory effect that the old Lead batteries gave. It supports protection from overcurrent, overvoltage, overload, overtemperature, short circuit and overdischarge.
The equipment is really rich and extremely functional, it allows you to reach every hole and suck up dirt with complete peace of mind. The convenient narrow-mouthed lance allows you to slip into cracks, such as those of seats or sofas, removing crumbs and other embedded dirt. In my test, I thoroughly cleaned my Panda which unfortunately (unlucky me, I smoke inside) was full of ash and pebbles brought inside by shoes. It was in a pitiful state, yet I obtained a perfect result.
The external materials are mainly plastic, with a good quality and finish, they still convey the feeling of having a quality accessory in your hands and not a trinket that will break at the next use. The ergonomics of the handle are excellent without tiring the hand even after long uses. Of course I personally tested this cordless vacuum cleaner to also vacuum the table after lunch/dinner, sofa and blankets, desk and then the car. I must say that I did not expect great power from this vacuum cleaner, instead I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as I turned it on it immediately released all its power, sucking up in the blink of an eye all the crumbs that were left on the table but I also did some tests in collecting the annoying cat litter that they promptly throw on the floor after doing their business.
I then attached the brush bar and moved on to try to remove the cat hair from the bedspread and even that couldn't resist the combination of suction and bristles. Some hair remained in the brushes and some ended up in the dust bin but without a doubt the MintHouz handheld vacuum did its job, leaving no traces behind.
I then emptied the dust container, easily removable with a click. All you have to do is remove the HEPA filter and empty the contents of the 800 ml capacity tank. It's all very simple but I must point out that in this case you could get your hands dirty during the emptying operation, but considering the nature of the product it would have been difficult to insert a tank with a more direct emptying. What I found to be a real lack is an accessory of the flexible tube type that would have helped in cleaning the car and specifically in the most insidious point of the car, namely the spaces between the seats, which are usually difficult to reach.
