MIUI: The team communicates some of the changes coming and those already live

Today the official account of the MIUI team, on the Chinese social media Weibo, has published various data both on the progress of the Xiaomi operating system and on the features coming in the future.

The main changes concern the features in the unlock screen, notification bar, main screen, animations, AOD (Always On Display), auto brightness, Dark Mode and much more.

MIUI: The team communicates some of the changes coming and those already live

MIUI

The first improvements in time are related to the unlock scheme. In the last two months, several "problems" in MIUI have been resolved that include:

  1. Once unlocked the screen it is now possible to remain on the main screen (this feature is in beta on some devices and in stable on others
  2. Unblocking with the face adds a notification on the display (in beta)
  3. The unlock icon for the footprint below the screen can be hidden (in beta and stable)
  4. The clock in the unlock screen can now be configured with three styles, this solves the problem of numbers that can cover a wallpaper image.

Another set of improvements concerns home and animation.

  1. It will be possible to change the layout of the icons in 5 × 6 style
  2. The algorithm for dragging icons will be improved
  3. The multi-tasking animations will be modified, in particular the swipe from bottom to top will be more fluid
  4. Algorithms for widget movement will be optimized. Moving a large widget will not inadvertently move icons
  5. When the home mode is changed, the icons will vibrate
  6. A protected mode will be added that hides the applications you have just used
  7. The multi-tasking animation will be optimized by rounding the edges

As for the Dark Mode instead, there have been two updates:

  1. The Dark Mode was introduced on all devices with Android P on board (some in beta, others in stable)
  2. The Dark Mode supports 16 system applications.

The MIUI team then lets them know that they are working to bring compatibility to many more applications.

Finally, in the future it will be possible to have two clocks in the Always On Display mode.

Coming from Samsung it seems to be in a still immature system but seeing the passion and the efforts that are made and the continuity I am convinced that Xiaomi will conquer the world and this system will be and will become among the best in circulation

I am very happy to see that they are working to bring miui to high levels because let's face it there is still a lot to do.I come from Samsung and I'm used to it well but if they continue to work like this, miui will have nothing to envy to the top
