A few days ago in the viewfinder of the various technological blogs concerning our beloved Xiaomi, a new smartphone dedicated to young people has entered, but no less efficient. Let's talk about the Xiaomi CC9 which also seems to have a cheaper traveling companion, the CC9e, but I don't want to bore you with a technical sheet or anything else as you can already find several articles about it on our blog, but rather because it would seem that this new device will see the debut of the new MIUI 11 interface.
Unfortunately we have no official feedback, but the rumors come from colleagues of XIAOMIUI, who in the past had already brought a series of rumors later revealed truthful. So we do not have the official status but we can trust the good name of our tech colleagues, who also bring to our attention a new function that will be present on the new MIUI 11, that is a sort of Air Gesture that allows us to open an application by simply performing movements that take advantage of the motion sensor integrated in the smartphone.
MIUI 11: news for notch, Air Gesture and debut on Xiaomi CC9?
In the video it is possible to see this function at work, even if the smartphone on which you are running this new feature is not declared, but do you not find any particular resemblance to the photo above that depicts the hypothetical Xiaomi CC9? This could be further proof of the debut of MIUI 11 on this device. The usefulness or otherwise of the Air Gesture we should of course verify it once we could test the new Xiaomi interface that we remember among the news to report an improvement in the launcher, with the feature 3D Touch and Drawer in the limelight, or we could decide whether to keep the classic view of the app on multiple home pages or whether to group them inside a drawer.
But among the many innovations concerning above all the graphic aspect as well as function optimizations we will also find another that mainly concerns all devices with notches, which many have hated due to the lack of display of the notifications that it entailed. Xiaomi may have found a fair compromise, as it will be possible in the new MIUI 11 to decide whether to continue viewing the notch in a classic way, hide it with a black bar as it already does on MIUI 10 or hide it with a black bar but move the notification icons in the part below the bar so as to exploit a wider surface on which to reproduce the icons.
