We thought we knew everything about the new MIUI 12.5 system interface and yet not a day goes by that a new function and / or feature stands out, fueling the hype for coming to our devices in a global version. We do not know how much time will pass before the release takes place definitively, but certainly when this will happen we do not feel unprepared in the use of the many features made available.
One of these concerns the customization of the main icons of the system apps, once possible through the use of the Themes app, but those interested in changing only the icons without having to change the face of the entire system, Xiaomi gives the possibility to do it in a simple and intuitive way. In fact, you just need to go to the Settings and then enter the Home Screen menu and then Icons to access the appropriate editing screen.

Once inside you can adjust the style of the icons by also acting on their size, but at the same time you can also draw on a series of pre-installed skins to change the look of the icons on the screen. In short, the new interface that Xiaomi has developed for its devices in addition to focusing on privacy, security and system optimization, as always winks at the graphic customization that has made the fortune of MIUI in general since the beginning.
It remains to be seen whether the icons can also be downloaded from external sources such as the Play Store, just like with the POCO Launcher, although judging the screenshots that have appeared on the net, this does not seem a possibility given to users. If so, we hope that the development team corrects the shot, because as far as the new function of MIUI 12.5 may be, this appears castrated and misaligned compared to the many launchers available online, but above all we wonder why not inherit it directly from the POCO Launcher which is still a product by Xiaomi?
