The developers of the MIUI 12 they are always super busy looking new features and this is mainly why this interface is the best around. While waiting for some other brand to reach it in terms of maturity, it always receives new features. We have news in particular of four new features just landed on the Developer version. The biggest news coming to MIUI 12 are: Camera Burst, shortcuts gestures, find device and transform photos into documents
Let's start with the feature of the MIUI 12 (20.08.27 version) related to the camera, perhaps the most interesting. The fact that MIUI camera does not shine for quality is now known, so much so that it is common practice to rely on the various versions of Google Camera. While we wait for it to improve, the developers integrate some new features every month.
Burst Camera: Enhanced the burst of photos
Burst room, that is the function that allows us to take burst photos has been improved and not by poco. As we can see in the images below, through the camera menu we can access the options that allow us to set the number of shots in sequence we want to do. These now range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 600 over a period of time from 1 second to 60 seconds.
Button and gestures shortcut: added new shortcuts
Another novelty concerns the shortcuts and gestures. In particular, in the case of shortcuts, additional features have been added related to the touch of different key combinations. Find device: new security feature added
In this version of MIUI a very interesting option has been added. This is the signaling your position before turning off the device. This feature is very important if we find ourselves in uncomfortable or dangerous situations: through a prolonged tap on the power button, it comes sent your position (it is not clear if you can choose who to send it to). Clearly, an internet connection is needed.
Turn photos into documents
The last option that we see and that has been introduced is the one relating to the photos already taken. It will be possible transform the photo taken into a PDF document. This is something we had already seen with the introduction of the latest release of Xiaomi's custom interface which, however, had not yet been introduced at the time of launch.
