MIUI 12 arrives at 90 fps screen recording, but not for everyone | Download

MIUI 12 allows a myriad of customizations, at the expense of system stability. If on the one hand the customized interface of Xiaomi and Redmi devices is the better in terms of features and customizations, on the other hand, we cannot say the same thing with regard to fluidity and stability. There are many new features that will be introduced with version 12.5, but today we don't talk about that. A recent app update that allows the screen recording brought a new feature. Let's go see the details.

MIUI 12 now allows you to record the screen at 90 fps: be careful, however, not everyone can do it. Here are which devices are compatible

The application "Record screen”, The one that allows us to save what we do on the display in the form of a clip, has just received a significant improvement. The app in question will record at a rate of 90 frames per second. What does this mean in practice? That's when we go to see the video lesson that we recorded, we will see it with a greater amount of frames per second, therefore more fluid.

But be careful: not all that glitters is gold. This new feature was yes added to MIUI 12 but not for all devices. According to the changelog, only smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and above can use this function. In short, the smartphones that can currently record at 90 fps are only:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10T
  • Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 11

The channel Xiaomiui claimed that at the time the su function cannot be used POCO F2 Pro and the Chinese counterpart Redmi K30 Pro. We do not know if this is really the case: after all, it is the same channel that released a data sheet of POCO F2 untrue. At the end of the article we make available the link to download the updated app.

ATTENTION!

The application "Record screen"That you find at the end of the article is extracted from the Chinese ROM. Consequently it is highly probable that the feature does not work on your Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro devices (or even Mi 11 if you already have it). If that doesn't work, we recommend uninstalling the app once the first tests are done. To do this, just go up "Settings", "App management" and uninstall the latest update.
