This morning we addressed one aspect of the MIUI 12 most important, or that of the Dark Mode. This mode is highly anticipated by users who have given their preference to devices Xiaomi and Redmi. In the same way the brand is very attentive to the requests of the latter and with the new release that will take place, in China, starting from 6st May, improvements in this area are assured. It is not only dark mode that has improved, but also the AOD (always on display): features that not everyone loves what results particularly useful when you don't want to unlock your smartphone too often.

In itself this feature does not allow you to do anything too exciting: with the screen off, you can see the most necessary information such as the notifications, time and battery. Precisely because so trivial Xiaomi has decided to make it more exciting with the MIUI 12, which will arrive on 27th April definitively in China. Let's see how he did it.
As you can understand from the image above, a flood of content will be added to those already present. Recall that the always on display was introduced with an update on MIUI 10 and (obviously) only on screen devices AMOLED. The change that AOD will face is the support for MAML format, which means that developers can implement nonlinear and dynamic animations. Furthermore, the works of the non-Xiaomi developers will be able to offer support to improve the display of indicators such as battery, notifications and more. It is not clear at the moment whether this support will be paid or not, but it is plausible that the compensation will be recognized, as now, through the viewing of advertisements or banners.
Similarly (but not the same) to the dark mode, it was reported by Xiaomi that even thealways on display will support a feature that allows you to change the background of the ever on display according to the time. In particular, as we see in the image below, we will be able to do appear rain in the background when the weather is rainy, snow when we are under Christmas, rather than darkness when it is night. Clearly this type of AOD will consume one battery quantity not indifferent: if we consider that already a dynamic background sends the autonomy of the smartphone to be blessed, we do not imagine this mode how much battery will suck. It is not clear yet whether the feature will only be available with AOD's themes Mitu, the brand mascot.
It has also been reported that great importance will be given to the bunny and that many personalization will be integrated with him as the protagonist. In short, Xiaomi with this MIUI 12 has really decided to amaze in terms of personalization.
