AnTuTu releases the ranking of the most powerful smartphones of February 2023

Like every month, the well-known AnTuTu benchmarking platform has just released the ranking of the best performing smartphones of the previous month, therefore in this case those of February; let's go and discover them together.

AnTuTu releases the ranking of the most powerful smartphones of February 2023

Let's start with the ranking that concerns the top of the range currently on the market.

First place: OnePlus 11

Average Score: 1327151

OnePlus 11 5G

Once again the first in the standings is the latest OnePlus flagship with an average score of 1327151, surpassing the runner-up, the Red Magic 8 Pro+ with a score of almost 30k points, which is quite surprising given that the Red Magic 8 Pro+ is a gaming phone that focuses on performance.

OnePlus' market strategy for this year seems to be using a lot of RAM and internal memory for high performance at a very competitive price. So the brand is back to doing what it did best of all, bringing maximum performance at affordable prices, even if some premium specifications are missing, such as wireless charging.

Second place: Red Magic 8 Pro+

Average Score: 1297657

The Red Magic 8 Pro+ can be called the smartphone with the most interesting design launched this year. We find a flat screen, no hole for the front camera and very thin surrounding edges. The Red Magic 8 Pro + reminds us a lot of the first Xiaomi Mi MIX, the "borderless" smartphone, even if in that case there was a lower border not to be poco.

In terms of performance, the Red Magic 8 Pro+ is ranked second with an average score of around 1,3 million thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.

Third place: Redmi K60 Pro

Average Score: 1293056

Redmi K60 Pro

The popularity of K60 series this year is not as high as in previous years. First, it could be because the new phone was released too soon. Secondly, the later competing models are too aggressive, with competitors like OnePlus and Realme. The biggest advantage of K60 is the flat screen with 2K resolution and the performance that lead it to the third place with an average score of 1293056.

Looking at the top ten products in the Android smartphone performance list, the Dimension 9200 chip is only present on the Vivo X90 Pro which ranks tenth, still a success for MediaTek in this range. While the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which is in ninth place, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip created exclusively for the Galaxy series. In this chip the main frequency has been improved than the conventional one, it can almost be regarded as a Snapdragon 8+Gen2, but actually Qualcomm will not have Snapdragon 8+Gen2 chip in the second half of this year, at least according to several rumors. It will go straight to the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, so users looking to buy a machine can now consider buying a flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, without having to wait any longer.

Moving on to the sub-flagship ranking, it is still dominated by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip, along with the Dimensity 8100. If you wonder why there are no Snapdragon 8+ and Dimensity 9000/Dimension 9000+ chips, AnTuTu stated that when these chips were released, they were all positioned as flagship chips and not sub-flagship chips, so they don't count them.

First place: vivo S16 Pro

Average score : 868533

Vivo V27 Pro vivo v16 pro

The vivo S series was originally born to focus on lightness and photography, but with the addition of MediaTek's Dimensity 8 series chips, the whole series has transformed. After winning on looks and photos, now she's also won on performance. With a score of 860 points, the smartphone is in first place in the sub-flagship ranking, even surpassing iQOO Neo7 SE and Redmi K60E, which are devices that focus heavily on performance and reduced prices.

Second place: iQOO Neo7 SE

Average Score: 860824

iQOO Neo7 SE

The Dimension 8200 chip on the iQOO Neo7 SE is the weakest chip in terms of performance in the entire series. Indeed, we have the standard version of Dimensity 9000+ and then there is the more powerful Snapdragon 8+, but the price of iQOO Neo7 SE is the best, The Dimensity 8200 is enough and the design of iQOO Neo7 series is also great,

Third place: Redmi K60E

Average Score: 847974

Redmi K60E

The third place is once again the Redmi K60E, which is also equipped with the Dimensity 8200 processor. In this ranking, the top three phones are all Dimensity 8200, followed by Dimensity 8100.

Although the K60E belongs to the entry-level version of the K60 series, the configuration is not bad at all. We find a flat screen with 2K resolution, OIS optical image stabilization, VC gaming liquid cooling and a large 5500 mAh battery.

Finally, as for mid-range devices, they are always the same in the trop three: iQOO Z6, Honor 80 and OPPO Reno9, with average scores of 597.867, 582.483 and 574.015.
