I have already presented you with some systems that bring Carplay or Android auto to older cars or those that do not have a dedicated system but today I want to steal your attention if you are thinking of exploiting these technological wonders on a two-wheeled vehicle, motorbike/scooter but also bicycle electric, with the opportunity to have the same conveniences reserved for cars, via a wireless screen that is mounted on the handlebars and, in the case of motorbikes/scooters, to power it directly under the key. Let's talk about the AUTOABC 5″ wireless screen that we discover in this review.

unboxing
The packaging is rather anonymous but still complete. In fact, inside the sales box, we naturally find the wireless screen with a protective plastic film already applied. We then find the manuals (English language only), the bracket for anchoring the screen to the handlebars of the motorbike/bike, power cable with proprietary connection and USB-A input, or power cable for ignition. Finally we find a sun visor, and mounting accessories such as a wrench, Phillips screwdriver, screws etc.

WHAT IS IT FOR?
A real device for Carplay or Android Auto completely similar to that of modern cars, with an intuitive and simple interface. Simply pair your Android or iOS smartphone wirelessly to enjoy applications compatible with the chosen system, for navigation, communication and much more. It's like having your smartphone always under your eyes, but without holding it, being able to manage many actions with voice commands, but above all without the risk of ruining your device, as the AUTOABC system has IPX7 resistance for use in the rain or snow.

Excellent for navigation with Google or Apple maps but also for alternative navigation with systems such as Waze or OsmAnd. We can manage calls, listen to music and much more. In short, all things considered, what you would do in your car with CarPlay or Android Auto, you will replicate on your motorbike or bicycle.

We have double Bluetooth available which allows the AUTOABC system to connect to the smartphone but also to the helmet intercom, in order to control all the infotainment functions via the voice assistant, all without touching the screen.

DISPLAY
Speaking of display, we find a 5-inch IPS panel on board, with peak brightness of 1000 nits and 854 x 480 pixel resolution, which enjoys a wide viewing angle and anti-reflection treatment, with good readability under direct sunlight , also having a flap supplied which protects the display from direct rays and reduces the annoyance caused by their reflections. The screen is touch and as already mentioned the whole system is IPX7 certified, therefore no fear of dust and water infiltration. Operation is guaranteed even in extreme conditions, from -10°C to +70°C. The dimensions of the device are 13,4 x 9 cm, therefore compact and adaptable to any 2-wheel vehicle.

The AUTOABC system also supports the reading of a micro SD card on which you can load your own music and a USB-C input for connecting accessories such as a DVR camera or vehicle tire pressure monitoring systems. Unfortunately there is no dedicated function or app that allows you to use the GPS antenna located on the back of the device. We then find 4 buttons on the right side that allow you to turn off/on the screen, return to the system home, start DVR viewing or switch to any associated accessories.
