Moto X40 could be the first smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor

In recent days, several leaks and rumors suggest that the launch of the next Moto X40 is very close. The smartphone has in fact recently been caught on certification sites such as 3C and TENAA. While today Chen Jin, the general manager of China Mobile Lenovo, anticipated the Moto X40 confirming some of the specifications.

In particular, Chen Jin said on Weibo (the Chinese Twitter) that the X40 will be equipped with a "new flagship SoC" and LPDDR5X RAM. The new flagship SoC he's talking about appears to be the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is expected to launch in November.

We also remember that its predecessor, the Moto Edge X30, was the first phone in the world with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and was launched in December 2021. Now, given the 3C and TENAA certifications already obtained, it seems that the Moto X40 can to once again be the first smartphone with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon chip.

As for other specifications, according to previous leaks, the Moto X40 will be equipped with an OLED display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, 8 GB and 12 GB RAM variants. For photos we will find a 60 megapixel front camera and a 50 megapixel triple rear camera.
