
Motorola has officially unveiled the new one Motorola Edge (2024), a device that stands as a worthy successor to the previous model, launched in October 2023.

The Motorola Edge (2024) sports a 6,6-inch POLED display, with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel offers 10-bit colors with a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, ensuring sharp and vivid images even in direct sunlight.
Inside, the device is powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz, supported by the Adreno 710 GPU. Compared to the Dimensity 7030 SoC of last year's model, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 offers a multicore performance improvement of 22% and 11% in terms of GPU performance. The processor is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal memory.

As regards the photographic sector, the phone uses a 700MP Sony LYT-50C primary sensor, one step ahead of the 50 MP Omnivision OV50A sensor used in last year's model. The sensor has an aperture of f/1.88 and optical image stabilization. The second camera on the back is a13MP ultra-wide unit with an aperture of f/2.2 and the ability to take macro photos. On the front, the phone uses a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture and Quad Pixel technology (pixel binning).
The Motorola Edge (2024) is equipped with Android 14 and includes a battery 5000mAh which supports the quick charge to 68W , wireless charging to 15W. Among other features, the dust and water resistance (IP68 certification), 5G connectivity (SA/NSA), Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The phone also has a customizable Quick button, which can be used as a shortcut to launch the camera, gallery, or other apps.
As for price and availability, the Motorola Edge (2024) is priced at $549,99 in the US.
