In a sense we could define Xiaomi as a company with a thousand faces, among which is the one destined for the world of photography. And the most well-known brand of Chinese OEM is Yi, which today announced that tomorrow 19 December at 00: 00, on the Xiaomi store and simultaneously on JDMall, a limited edition will be sold (1000 units available) of the M1 camera, priced at 2999 yuan (about 385 euros).
Recall that the Yi M1 camera won the Reddot Design 2017 award in Germany, and this limited edition is based on one new white color like snow which in contrast with the red logo makes the overall design really appealing. The limited edition of the Yi M1 includes the accessory kit composed of a convenient shoulder strap for transport, of course the machine body in satined metal two goals.
On the Yi M1 we find the image sensor Sony IMx269 from 20,16 megapixel, which supports resolutions up to 4K is 30 fps, in order to capture videos with very high definition. The two supplied optics correspond instead to one 12-40 mm with opening f / 3.5-5.6 and an 42.5mm with opening f / 1.8. The first lens adapts to most of the daily scenes, while the second one is better suited to close subjects or macro of flower bugs, etc.
On the Yi M1 camera there is also a convenient touch display from 3 inch, which allows you to interact with the room by defining the individual settings even if theapplication for smartphones (both Android and iOS) with which to set the settings but also transfer images and videos. In fact, the Yi M1 room has a connection Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi module, also the mobile recharge via powerbank.
The previous version, in silver and black, perhaps was more suited to a male audience, while the new snow white color tends to approach the female audience. But in the world of photography there is no "sex" and personally I find the new color really trendy, if we then consider that the Yi M1 mounts targets with M4 / 3 attack and therefore compatible with most of the brands on the market, we could decide to do it a nice Christmas present.
