A new smartphone Redmi, identified by the model number 25078RA3EL, has recently obtained the FCC certification, suggesting an imminent market launch. Early leaks suggest the device could be a budget solution designed to offer good battery life and basic connectivity, without 5G support.
New Redmi Device / POCO Certified by FCC and EEC

Interestingly, there also appears to be a variant POCO, with the model number 25078PC3EG, which has received EEC approval, suggesting a possible rebranding of the device. At the moment, the official names of these smartphones have not yet been confirmed, but the number 2507 in the codes suggests a launch planned for July 2025.
The Redmi 25078RA3EL will not support 5G, but it will feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE connectivity, still ensuring smooth browsing and stable user experience for users.
On the software level, the device will come pre-installed with HyperOS 2.2, the latest version of Xiaomi's operating system, which promises optimizations and improvements in terms of fluidity and resource management.

From the hardware point of view, it will be equipped with a large 9 LCD display, suggesting a slightly different form factor than usual, which could be closer to a phablet or compact tablet rather than a traditional smartphone.
One of the strong points of the new Redmi device will be its battery 6.000mAh, ensuring a long battery life, probably in line with the needs of users who require long usage cycles without frequent recharging. The FCC certification has also revealed support for quick charge from 33W, allowing for short charging times.
A leaked image of the device's control page suggests the presence of a display with notch, a detail that could indicate a traditional design with a front camera integrated into the top of the screen.

As already mentioned, the EEC certification has confirmed the existence of a model POCO, with serial number 25078PC3EG, which seems identical to the Redmi 25078RA3EL in terms of specifications. This suggests a possible rebranding, following a strategy already seen with several devices Xiaomi e POCO.
Since both devices look scheduled to debut in July 2025, New certifications and further details could emerge in the coming days, revealing information on the price and available memory configurations.
