LeEco gets back to being talked about. It hasn't been long since the launch of the Le Pro 3, but it's possible the company is preparing for the release of another device. In the last few hours, the render of an unknown smartphone has appeared on Weibo. According to rumors, it would be a new LeEco model. However, the brand of the device is not the only mystery surrounding the news.
The display clearly shows that the chipset mounted on the device is an octa-core MediaTek Helio clocked at 2.59GHz and 14nm process, but none of the high-end MediaTek processors currently on the market respond to these characteristics. X20, X25 and P20 use different clock frequencies and even the latest addition to MediaTek, Helio X30, is no exception. Given that the leak has circulated on Weibo, it is reasonable to expect an intervention by LeEco to shed light on the issue in the next few hours.
And it is precisely from the Chinese portal that important news on the future of the company arrives. In fact, founder Jia Yueting has announced that the first AI-equipped LeEco device will be launched this month. After Cortana and Siri (among others) a new virtual assistant is then added that will accompany and guide users dealing with the most disparate activities. According to rumors, the LeEco Artificial Intelligence Phone (LeAI) should mount a dual rear camera, equipped with 4x optical zoom, capable of competing with that of the iPhone 7 and should be called LeEco Le 3. The launch of this device could be l start of the unification project that the company wants to implement, which aims to make its EUI operating system the “brain” at the base of all the devices produced (smartphones, televisions, cars, etc.).
