Xiaomi never seems to stop. According to a leak recently leaked on the Toutiao web portal, the Chinese company is already working on MIUI 9, despite MIUI 8 only having a few months.
From the image it is clear that the base of MIUI 9 will be 6.9.23 and it is assumed that this new version will be released in conjunction with a new model. The main suspect is the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, but the Chinese company could be working on another smartphone that would already have MIUI 9 on board at the time of launch. This mysterious smartphone could therefore compete with the aforementioned Mi Note 2 and the Mi 5s, released poco time ago.
The latest version of MIUI could also be released together with the Mi 5c. In fact, in the last few hours some rumors have circulated on Weibo that spoke of the possible arrival of the low cost version of the Mi 5 / Mi 5s. According to the leaks, the smartphone would be equipped with 3 Gb of Ram and 32 Gb of ROM, fingerprint sensor and 5,2 "full HD display. The main difference compared to the more expensive versions would be the processor: on board there would be MediaTek's Helio X25, instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon.
