Ninebot is not just scooters and e-scooters: here is the robotic lawnmower!

Ninebot, shoulder company of Xiaomi and producer of the famous Segway, may be best known for its single-wheeled scooters or scooters. However, his latest product (also with wheels) sets the stage for a new series of interesting robots. Is called segway navimow and is the first robotic lawnmower of the company. This robotic lawnmower from Ninebot promises a much simpler setup than normal without the need for a boundary wire which can be cumbersome and annoying. Let's see the details together.

If we think of Ninebot, Xiaomi's shoulder, we think of scooters and scooters ... but there's more. Such as Segway Navimow the robotic lawnmower!

Ninebot's answer to the problems of traditional lawnmowers is the virtual geofencing, which uses a combination of GPS and other sensors. Dubbed EFLS, or Exact Fusion Locating System, combines GPS and other types of sensors to achieve positioning accuracy up to 2cm. Once you have learned the layout of the lawn, it is possible establish mowing zones in the Segway companion app, including prohibited areas and narrow passages.

Like a robot vacuum cleaner, the idea is that Navimow automatically finds the most efficient route through the grass, cutting as it goes. No traces are left and the algorithm learns over time to improve efficiency and reduce time. Segway expects it to work much longer than manual lawn mowers, constantly shredding the grass to maintain a constant height. Areas where the grass grows thickest and tallest will get priority with more frequent mowing.

Much like a robot vacuum cleaner, there are anti-collision sensors integrated. Ultrasound is designed to spot possible obstacles and bypass them, while impact sensors will send the Navimow in another direction. The Segway's BladeStop system stop the blades if a human or animal approaches. If anyone decides to to steal the robotic lawnmower Ninebot, meanwhile, a push notification will appear on the smartphone and report its location in real time.

The company claims that the lawn mower can handle slopes up to 45 degrees, thanks to its 50 mm rubber wheels, while one battery from ben to 10.200 mAh is designed for lawns up to 3.000 square meters. That's not to say it will necessarily do all of this in one go, but Navimow can return for a reload and then venture out again to pick up where it left off.

There is water resistance IPX6 and a rain sensor will automatically send the mower to its dock in bad weather. The app also has real-time mower scheduling and status, in addition to the control of the cutting height of the grass. This can be adjusted from approximately 1.2 to 2.4 inches. In use, it has a volume of only 58 dB, Segway says, considerably quieter than most lawn mowers.
