Nokia develops a smartphone camera with sound input

Nokia, like so many other companies, it seems to be with its hands on new smartphone camera technologies. Xiaomi and other brands are developing photographic sensors under the screen or even external, but rotary. This is to save yourself a front photo sensor which in reality would not be used. But having said that, what would be the solution designed by Nokia for this camera? Let's go see it together because it is really particolare.

Nokia files a patent for its first smartphone with a rotating PTZ camera. A solution that many are considering

The brand Nokia applied for a patent describing an original smartphone camera unit. He's able to automatically turn to the sound source: This allows you to record video so that the shooting subject always remains the center of attention. According to the published patent documents, the nameless smartphone does not have a front camera. In this case, the image sensors, the number of which is not specified, are positioned on either side of the rotating module

Device thumbnails indicate that the camera unit is at the top of the unit and can be rotated 360 degrees. There direction of "gaze" of the lenses will be set thanks to the built-in microphones. Their job is to receive and analyze audio signals to accurately determine the direction of the sound source, which is then transmitted to the system. In turn, depending on the specified direction, the camera will turn towards the sound source.

The patent does not specify whether it will be possible to disable this function if it is not necessary for shooting. Also unknown is the possible release date of the smartphone with support for the new technology.
