Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is official, and although it will only arrive on the market in September, the announced specifications promise a notable improvement compared to its predecessor, the Telephone (2a). Let's see what this new mid-range device offers.

The most notable change is the introduction of Dimensity 7350 Plus chipset, an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7200 Pro found in the Phone (2a). This chipset, developed in collaboration with MediaTek exclusively for the Phone (2a) Plus, features an eight-core CPU with 2 Cortex-A715 cores at 3.0 GHz and 6 Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0 GHz. The GPU remains the Mali-G610 MC4 , but now runs at 1.3 GHz. According to Nothing, you can expect a 10 percent improvement in CPU performance and a 30 percent boost in GPU-intensive tasks.
Another important update concerns the front camera, which goes from 32MP to 50 SM. This new sensor supports 4K video recording up to 30fps and is positioned inside the hole in the 6.7-inch AMOLED display (FHD+ 120Hz). On the back, the Phone (2a) Plus maintains the same configuration with a main camera from 50MP (24mm) and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

The Phone (2a) Plus comes with a battery from 5000 mAh with support for the 50W wired charging, a slight improvement over the 45W of the Phone (2a). On the software front, the device runs Nothing OS 2.6 based on Android 14, with ChatGPT integration and a new News Reporter widget that reads news aloud using the voice of Nothing's CFO, Tim Holbrow. This feature is also available for other Nothing phones via the Nothing Widgets app on the Google Play Store.
The smartphone will be available in two color options: metallic Gray and updated Black.

The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus is already available in the United States starting from $399 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Pre-orders are open from today on the nothing.tech website. As far as our country is concerned, a date or price has not yet been announced.
