New variant of Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite spotted on TENAA

When we thought that Xiaomi had already released enough devices for this year and the next, here comes a new sighting TENAA that preludes the arrival of another. As some of you will know, TENAA is the regulatory body to which all smartphone manufacturers must submit if they want to see their device for sale in the huge Asian country. As a result, it is a reliable source that usually lets us know some of the details, as well as the design, of the phones coming to market.

Well, as suggested in the title, the last noteworthy terminal to appear on the Chinese website was what we could call a Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite "Pro", or at least a slightly improved version of the mid range presented last month. The upgrades on this device codenamed "M1808D2TT" are physical, maximum RAM, photo compartment and battery.

From the design point of view, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite "Pro" now has a black body, both on the front and on the back, while the frame is in orange as well as the side buttons.

The RAM has instead been increased up to a maximum 8GB, from previous versions with 4GB and 6GB. This new option is a bit 'bizarre because, in theory, would always be coupled to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, which is still great, but we doubt we can really take advantage of this huge amount of RAM in the best way.

Then we also have a change with regard to cameras. Remains the front 24MP that characterizes the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite as "selfie phone", while the dual camera setup rear from 12MP and 5MP has been replaced by a combo 12MP and 8MP, then slightly better.

Finally, the battery had a reduction in capacity, from 3350mAh on the 8 Lite to a 3250mAh on the next terminal.

All other specifications are not yet confirmed as the TENAA website does not make them known.
