The hopes of seeing a new Mi MIX 3 Lite, which some called Mi Note 4 in past rumors, broke today when Xiaomi presented a new variant of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition, known in the rest of the world as Mi 8 Lite.
Despite the initial disappointment for the failure to announce a highly anticipated terminal, which will probably arrive towards the end of December, this version of the Mi 8 Youth Edition is nonetheless positive because it keeps the starting price of a device quite interesting.
New Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition presented with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of memory
The Mi 8 Youth Edition will be available today in a model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, which is added to those from 4GB / 64GB, 6GB / 64GB and 6GB / 128GB already on the market. The price of the 4GB / 128GB variant should be quite similar to that of the 6GB / 64GB version, which currently costs (in China) 1699 Yuan (220 €), although we hope it can go down to 1599 Yuan (204 €), making it a really interesting alternative.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth Edition, for those who missed it, was announced last September and has as its strength a youthful design, with a back cover in glass with gradient coloring, Huawei P20 style. Then we have a 6.26 inch display with Full HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor and a 3350mAh battery with 3 Quick Charge support.
Even in the photographic sector the Mi 8 YE is not joking, at least for the price range. The smartphone is in fact equipped with the same 12MP rear sensor present on the Mi 8, Mi MIX 2S and Mi MIX 3, the Sony IMX363, and an aperture of f / 1.9 coupled with a secondary 5MP; while in front we find a 24MP camera for high resolution selfies.
Finally, being a Youth Edition with limited band support, we hope to be released a Global version for those who want a device with a lot of internal memory to the detriment of the amount of RAM.
