I don't know about you friends, but when there are rainy days like the one that is falling in these hours, there is nothing more relaxing than getting comfortable and enjoying lots of good music. I like to immerse myself in the rhythm that in beat and offbeat makes me travel with the imagination, and what better help than to rely on good earphones like those that Nurati has recently presented and that today we have the pleasure of reviewing thanks to the sending of the sample provided by the company itself.
The Nurati N1 packaging is simple and elegant, with a white cardboard cover that immediately puts the brand's Bluetooth earphones as the protagonist. When we open the package we find a pleasant surprise, namely a pouch for transporting the product, avoiding any scratches that could occur with impacts or contact with keys. Inside the bag we find a user manual with instructions also in Italian, the small USB-A / Type-C charging cable and 2 pairs of spare earphones of different sizes to better adapt to the various pavilions and made of soft silicone. A pair of commini are already inserted on the earphones.

The Nurati N1 adopt a so-called headband design as the earphones will be worn by resting the back of the structure on the neck. And it is precisely here that I want to focus for a moment as the arch is made of skin-friendly elastic material, which is not only comfortable to the touch and with the skin but at the same time does not create any discomfort during use in sports sessions. Furthermore, the arch gives stability to the earphones which are very firm even in activities such as running. The arch can be flexed without fear of ruining its structure, as it will return to its initial shape without deformation. Comfort is guaranteed thanks to the ergonomic design of the product.

The connection cables to the drivers come out of the arch terminals. On the right side there is the control module that incorporates the on/off button that actually also allows you to call up the smartphone's voice assistant, manage play/pause and activate/deactivate the game mode. We then find the volume control buttons that also allow you to skip the music track. Of course we can also manage calls, with rejection, answer or hang up. In this regard we find the microphones for managing calls with ENC technology, i.e. intelligent noise cancellation to isolate background noise and make your voice loud and clear even during sports activities. Finally, on the control module there is a small status LED and a small door also made of plastic that hides the Type-C input for charging the battery.

Yes, because of course to work the Nurati N1 need a battery which in this case is a 500 mAh unit (250 mAh * 2) which guarantees a battery life of 100 hours of music with continuous flow, or 500 hours in standby. You read that right, 100 hours of music playback mixed with conversation on a single charge. Charging takes place via the Type-C cable attached to a source that supplies energy for 5V / 1A, which in about 2 hours will bring the integrated battery to 100%. And if you need a quick charge, charge them for 10 minutes and you get 20 hours of playback.

The 10mm dynamic drivers have an in-ear structure and case made of plastic, but the part that contacts the ear is covered in silicone from which a protrusion emerges that helps keep the earphones stable when worn, especially during sports. Specifically, the new audio gadgets from Nurati are equipped with a Bluetooth 5.2 chip and EDR technology, which allows you to connect them to any device within a distance of 10 meters. You can stream music from your PC, laptop, phone, tablet or any other Bluetooth-enabled device without any delay or connection drops.

The drivers work on a frequency range that goes from 20 Hz to 20000 Hz with an impedance of 160 Ohm and sensitivity of 100 dB. In addition, a magnet is integrated that allows you to join the two small speakers together when we are not using them, avoiding wires dangling on our belly and therefore accidental falls of the product. In addition, there is the IPX6 protection rating, which means you can sweat during intense workouts or be surprised by the rain without worries.

Nurati N1 connect to the smartphone very quickly, and in my case I didn't need to enter any code for pairing. You don't need any application to use the earphones, and in a certain sense the use without applications can be an advantage for those looking for a plug & play product, without unnecessary frills.

The Bluetooth range is 10 meters, which is definitely real but what surprised me is the fact that even in front of obstacles the data flow is transmitted without hesitation, certainly without exaggeration, but in my case I did a test leaving the smartphone closed in a room and I went down to the front door (2 flights of stairs) and I could hear the music with the same initial quality. Also worth noting is the presence of support for the simultaneous connection of two devices at the same time, for example managing calls on one device and listening to music on the other.

Once the headphones are started, a voice guide in English informs us of the successful connection with the device. At this point, if we press the power button three times in a row, we will start the voice assistant, while in phone call activity we could answer (a single click) or reject the call (long press). Furthermore, if we left the phone on silent, we will be notified of the call with a small trill. The call quality is decidedly good, our interlocutor does not complain of quality defects in our voice, although I must admit the suppression of background noise is not the best I have tried, although a conversation is still manageable even in the middle of city traffic, less so in crowded places.

I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert audiophile, but I have enough experience to understand when too high a volume distorts the sound, or when there is a dominant high/medium/low frequencies. And this doesn't happen with Nurati earphones. I've tried different genres of music, even tracks recorded in concerts and believe me, in some songs the audio was so good that when I closed my eyes it even seemed like I could hear the singer's breathing on the microphone. Furthermore, the immersive experience that the Nurati N1 give us, thanks to an environmental noise isolation system, is truly at a level that I hadn't experienced until now. We're not talking about ANC technology but the structure of the drivers is such that the ear canal is decidedly "occupied", so it's great if we want to listen to music without distractions but be careful when playing sports outdoors on the street because you won't hear the noise of cars or danger signals. It's better to go jogging in the park or in specific areas designated for this activity.
The strong point is the battery life and then they turn on simply by detaching the magnets. On the market we find so many, too many proposals for Bluetooth earphones with decidedly cheap prices but I assure you that there is no comparison for construction quality and audio compared to these Nurati N1. The price of just under 32 euros (at the time of writing) on Amazon or $ 27,99 on the official website including shipping, is definitely convenient if compared to more prestigious brands for which it is worth investing only if we are professionals. The only color available is black but after all black goes well with everything. But if you want to spend even less, know that the product is also available on AliExpress at the fantastic price of around € 15, so what are you waiting for?
