To celebrate the upcoming launch of OnePlus 11 5G, OnePlus has partnered with Matt Porteous, official photographer of the British royal family famous for his portraits of the Prince and Princess of Wales, to capture the unique beauty of the UK's most remote community, Knoydart, capturing shots of the residents and their incredible lifestyle, in a context wild and spectacular nature, in one of the most challenging photo shoots ever.
Knoydart it is a small village reachable only by boat or on foot through a two-day excursion in the Scottish Highlands. To reach the community, the OnePlus 11 was mounted on a drone and flown to the peninsula. Thanks to the use of technology Natural Color Calibration developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, the smartphone was able to capture the natural beauty of the wild landscape, returning shots with true-to-life colors and DSLR quality, thanks to the functions of optical image stabilization.

Using the powerful photographic sector of OnePlus 11 created in collaboration with Hasselblad – whose cameras have captured some of the world's most iconic images, including the first photograph of a man on the moon – Matt Porteous has directed the residents of Knoydart themselves in capturing their everyday moments, giving a breathtaking insight into the life of this isolated community.
In the absence of network connectivity, OnePlus and Matt took advantage of satellite technology to ride with locals from over 500 miles away, taking their portraits with the smartphone, equipped with a brand new 13-channel multispectral sensor for color identification, which ensures DSLR-level professional-quality shots, even in difficult conditions.
The portrait collection will be posted on OnePlus' social channels for sharing with the world the hidden treasures of this incredible community and celebrate their unique lifestyle. Users will also be able to discover more about Knoydart's secrets, such as The Old Forge, the most remote pub in Britain, or Doune Knoydart, an extraordinary restaurant where guests can be in tune with nature and the animals that inhabit it , such as seals, dolphins and killer whales, enjoy spectacular views of the Isle of Skye and, in winter, the incredible Northern Lights.
