OnePlus Ace 2V: presented the semi-flagship that costs less than €400

The “V” in the OnePlus Ace 2V stands for victory, as according to the brand the OnePlus Ace 2V strives to become an industry-subverting performance winner in its price segment. The smartphone adopts the same design as its predecessor but with a different chip to achieve maximum performance.

But let's start with the design of the OnePlus Ace 2V which was launched in two colors: black rock and green glaze. Both colors have been created with the best technology to create a quality glass cover. In particular, the black rock one has a glass finish with a silk effect for a sober and introverted look and is not easy to get dirty with fingerprints. The green glaze model uses a green color inspired by Chinese green glaze ceramic craftsmanship, and the glass is polished with a jade-like texture, an extremely refined and recognizable coloring.

Otherwise, the smartphone has bezels around the screen narrower by just 1,46 mm, and their thickness is very similar on all four sides. The back cover is made of glass material, the weight of the whole device is 191,5g, the thickness is only 8,15mm, and the grip is comfortable. The iconic OnePlus three-stage button design is also retained.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus Ace 2V is equipped with TSMC's 9000nm process Dimension 5 4G chip, which has four times the performance and energy efficiency of the previous generation. After the joint tuning of OnePlus and MediaTek, the performance version reached a new high, with an AnTuTu score of up to 1,05 million, the highest AnTuTu score achieved by the Dimension 9000 chip.

Furthermore, OnePlus Ace 2V follows the concept of "large memory diffuser", adopting a memory configuration starting from 12GB and up to 16GB. It is also equipped with the same memory gene recombination technology which can achieve the highest system-wide fluency, and the frame loss rate can be reduced by 50% under heavy load scenarios. The 16GB memory version can run up to 44 applications in the background.

In terms of heat dissipation, the OnePlus Ace 2V is equipped with a new generation of high-performance graphite heat sink, which improves heat dissipation by 92% compared to ordinary graphite and has a total heat dissipation area of 29345,5 mm2.

The new smartphone is also equipped with game frame stabilization engine 2.0, game cloud computing private network and other gaming technologies, so as to bring smooth gaming experience and accurate touch control without any lag. The OnePlus Ace 2V is also a certified phone by the Peace Elite Tournament Laboratory, thus a recommended device for playing League of Legends Asian League, and has passed the mobile terminal game performance certification of Thiel Lab.

As for other specs, the OnePlus Ace 2V features a 6,7″ OLED screen with 1,5K resolution, local peak brightness up to 1450 nits, supports high-frequency PWM dimming at 1440Hz, HDR 10+ and has the “TUV South Germany Precision Touch S-Class” certification. The panel supports six frequencies from 40Hz to 120Hz and has also obtained the “SGS Low Blue Light Eye Protection Authoritative Certification”.

Finally, the Ace 2V features three cameras, a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For selfies there is a 16 megapixel camera.

The OnePlus Ace 2V has a starting price of 2799 yuan (380 euros) for the version with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory.
