After a few weeks speculations, voices and rumors, OnePlus X is finally official. Already in the last articles we had anticipated some technical specifications, which were absolutely confirmed during the presentation today. In addition to the technical features, however, there is a surprise in the design department of this terminal. The company has made available two premium versions, the first call OnePlus X Onyx , while the second limited edition version will be built in ceramic. Yes, you have felt good! CERAMIC!
OnePlus X: That's all there is to know!
Il OnePlus Onyx will be built in glass, with a metal frame around it. This will surely give a high quality look, though many manufacturers already use this design in their devices. However, the second version, that is, the limited edition version will be assembled with a true one ceramic body which is scratch resistant and has a 8.5H hardness on the Mohs scale. We do not have much information on the ceramic version, but we expect to hear more from the company in the next few hours. The body in general is quite thin, only fit 6,9 millimeters and weighs about 138 grams.
Coming to the specifications, as we said, the OnePlus X will be equipped with the "old but gold" Snapdragon 801. Although it is not a processor of the very latest generation, the company believes that with the help of the 3 GB of RAM represents a more than excellent compromise for a mid-range device and will certainly have considerable success on the market.
As for storage, the internal memory will be 16 GB with the possibility of expanding it through MicroSD up to a maximum of 128 GB. However, as is the case with other terminals, to take advantage of memory expansion, you should give up the second SIM slot, which, along with the main one, is compatible with 4G navigation even in European countries.
Coming to the display instead, we have a panel OLED da 5 inches with resolution Full HD, with pixel density 441 ppi and protected by glass Gorilla Glass 3.
As far as the photographic sector is concerned, the OnePlus X is equipped with a rear camera Samsung ISOCELL da 13 megapixel and focal aperture f / 2.2 and equipped with a single LED flash. This sensor is also equipped with autofocus PDAF able to focus on alone 0.2 seconds. The videos unfortunately can be shot at a maximum resolution of 1080p, but it is interesting to note that there is support for slow motion shooting up to 720p a 120 fps. The front camera, on the other hand, is a 8 megapixel unit with focal aperture f / 2.4.
The battery is a unit of capacity 2.525 mAh, which, according to OnePlus, should be sufficient for daily use. The software is the 'OXYGEN based on Android 5.1.
The price is as we had expected. The terminal will be sold on the Chinese market at about the equivalent 215 €, on the European one a 269 euros. As for the Ceramic Edition, only 10.000 pieces will be produced, without invitation system. This last edition will cost approx 369 €.
