
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO seems ready to release another A series model: theOPPO A80 5G. A leak of 91Mobiles has revealed official renders and specifications of the upcoming phone.

According to what has been leaked online, the OPPO A80 could be a rebranded version of theOPPO A3 Vitality Edition, recently launched in China. We also know that the A80 5G will have a flat-edge design with a punch-hole display. The back houses a dual-camera setup with an LED ring, mirroring the aesthetics of the A3 Energy Edition. Color options include Black and Purple, with a Green variant likely to be available globally.
The display is a 6,67-inch HD+ panel and with a 120Hz refresh rate and a respectable peak brightness of 1.000 nits. Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset handles the processing, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The photography section seems to be budget oriented. The back features a 50MP main sensor along with a 2MP secondary lens, probably for depth information. There front camera for selfies is 8MP.
The A80 5G will be equipped with one battery 5100mAh which supports the 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. The operating system will be ColorOS 14.0.1 based on Android 14. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the phone has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Standard features such as the headphone jack from 3,5 mm, USB Type-C port, NFC and Wi-Fi 5. Additionally, the phone will have AI features such as AI Eraser to clean unwanted objects in photos, AI LinkBoost for network optimization and AI Charging Protection to extend battery life .
Finally, for prices, the OPPO A80 5G will be sold at €249 for the 8GB/256GB variant in Europe.
