OPPO has unveiled its 2025 flagship, the Find X8 Ultra, which presents itself as a refinement of everything that made the Find X7 Ultra a great success. The device comes with improvements in terms of design, performance, battery and cameras. So let's find out all the details about this new top of the range.
OPPO Find X8 Ultra Official: It's the Thinnest Camera Phone Ever

Let's start with the design: the OPPO Find X8 Ultra is officially the thinnest “camera phone”, with a Thickness of only 8,78 mm, reduced compared to the 9,5 mm of its predecessor. Despite the reduction, the device offers greater robustness, thanks to the IP68 certifications for dust and water resistance and IP69 for resistance to water jets. OPPO also boasts a five-star SGS certified shock resistance.
The display remains unchanged from the previous model, but that is not a problem at all. This is a 6,82 inch LTPO OLED panel with 10-bit color depth, variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, resolution of 3.168×1.440 pixels and a peak brightness of 1.600 nits. These specifications ensure a top-notch visual experience, ideal for any use.

Under the hood, the Find X8 Ultra is powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, combined with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This combination ensures uncompromising performance, both for gaming and productivity. The operating system is ColorOS 15, based on Android 15.
One of the most significant improvements is the 6.100mAh silicon-carbon battery, which represents an increase of almost 20% compared to the previous model. The battery supports the 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging, 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging and even the 10W reverse wireless charging, ensuring unparalleled flexibility.

As mentioned above, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra stands out in its photography department, with significant improvements in the zoom cameras, while the main camera remains mostly unchanged and the ultra-wide angle suffers a slight downgrade. In particular, the The main camera features a 900MP Sony LYT50 sensor with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). This sensor, the largest ever in a modern smartphone, far exceeds the size of the main cameras in the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
As for the telephoto lens, we find two improved periscope cameras. The first offers a zoom 3x with a 700 MP Sony LYT50 sensor and a 70mm f/2.1 lens, a marked improvement over the 65mm f/2.6 lens of the previous model. The second, dedicated to the 6x zoom, is equipped with a 600 MP Sony LYT50 sensor and a 135mm f/3.1 lens, much brighter than the f/4.3 of the Find X7 Ultra.

THEThe super-wide, instead, is equipped with a 5mm f/15 Samsung JN2.0 sensor, slightly smaller than the previous model with a 14mm f/2.0 sensor and larger dimensions. Finally, the front camera maintains the 506 MP Sony LYT32 sensor with autofocus.
Behind the scenes, the HyperTone Image Engine next-generation AI video processing improves computational capabilities, while AI tone mapping delivers greater depth and detail, especially in backlit scenes. ProXDR engine provides a 4x increase in brightness and color data richness.

The Find X8 Ultra introduces two new physical buttons: the Shortcut button, customizable for different functions and apps, and the Quick button, mainly dedicated to controlling the camera. These elements add convenience and flexibility in everyday use.
