Meizu ready to launch its first tablet: required permissions
According to the Qichacha website, the patent for "tablet computer" applied by Hubei Xingji Meizu Technology Co., a subsidiary of Geely, was authorized on February 28, 2023. The patent application date is November 7, 2022 and it is a type of “design” patent.
Qichacha's summary shows that the design is used for tablets, and the key point of the design is the shape. The patent diagram shows that the tablet buttons are placed on the side, and in the upper left corner of the back is a camera.
It is worth noting that Hubei Xingji Times Technology Co. recently underwent industrial and commercial changes, and the company name was changed to Hubei Xingji Meizu Technology Co. Li Shufu stepped down as president, and Shen Ziyu took over. According to public information, the company was founded in September 2021, with Wang Yong as the legal representative and a registered capital of 806 million yuan. It currently indirectly controls Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., a subsidiary of Meizu.
In addition, Hubei Yuanshi Technology Co., another subsidiary of Geely Mobile, also recently underwent industrial and commercial changes, and the company name was changed to Hubei Xingji Meizu Group Co.. Li Shufu stepped down as chairman, and Shen Ziyu took over.
Company and executives aside, the tablet we see should be launched with the branding of Meizu. Just like the Meizu 20 which should be presented soon. Recall that the smartphone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, together with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS4.0 internal memory.
