Today I want to tell you about a really interesting product for all those professionals who need to record and also transcribe everything that is said in a meeting, a call, a work meeting and for those who want to easily record their own telephone calls (even if we remember that according to Italian law, recording telephone calls without the authorization of the interlocutor should not be done). Plaud Note It is an ultra compact device that will allow you to do all this and much more. Thanks to its artificial intelligence, it will be able to create summaries, mind maps, highlights and of course precise transcriptions of everything you have recorded.

What is really impressive is how thin and light it is, a device that you will not even notice to keep, for example, in your shirt pocket. The thickness of only 3mm to really use it in the best way you want. Despite being so small and compact, the aluminum alloy it is made of really gives it a premium touch and feel.

HOW IT WORKS
The basic functioning of our Plaud It's really very simple. First, charge it until the small LED in the letter A turns green. At this point it is ready to record in the 2 modes provided, namely: NOTE mode e CALL mode. To change the mode, simply push the small selector that we find after the PLAUD writing up (call mode) or down (note mode) and at this point press the round button until you feel a small vibration that will certify the start of recording. During recording, the small LED will light up red. When we have finished our recording, we will simply have to hold down the usual button until we feel a double vibration and the red LED will turn off. At this point the recordings will be saved inside the integrated memory which is 64Gb and can then be managed via an application that I will tell you about shortly.
With regard to the Recording notes you just need to place it on your desk, keep it in your shirt pocket or wherever you prefer. Don't worry about putting it too close to the person speaking because its microphones work very well.
For the call recording, the phone one, you will have to attach it to the back of your phone via the magnetic case and that's it. Perfect for mag safe devices but don't worry, it comes with a small adhesive magnetic ring that you can use to attach it to your smartphone case
The case is really made "to the millimeter" so once the Plaud is inserted it will be quite difficult to remove it
APPLICATIONS
As mentioned above, for the management of recorded files we will use the dedicated application that you will find in the store of your smartphone. Download it, install it, create your account, enable location and BT and connect your PLAUD simply by clicking on the recording button (quickly without holding down otherwise the recording will start). The LED will flash and this indicates that it is in pairing mode with your smartphone.
Once PLAUD has been detected and activated, we can start using it via the app from which we can also start recording by clicking on the red button with the “+”
The home page of our app is the folder of Files present, we find some multimedia ones by default that give us info on how to use the device. Here we will also find our recordings or audio files that we will upload (we can upload already made ones by always clicking on the red “+” button). We can listen to the files, export them (mp3 and wav), edit them (intelligently via AI or manually), share them, create summaries, transcriptions, mind maps, etc. simply by clicking on them.
On the top left we have the direct link to Plaud where we will see the selected recording mode, battery level, available memory, automatic shutdown, microphone gain, VCS gain, wav audio setting and firmware update.
At the bottom right we find another important tab, that of the registered user. Here we will find all our preferences and the plan we have subscribed to.
Currently the Plaud Note is on offer with the STARTER plan included which allows us to transcribe 300 minutes of recording per month. It goes without saying that if we are professionals and need additional minutes of transcription we can switch to the UNLIMITED plan, €22,5 per month, and we will get rid of the thought. We will also have the option of purchasing a PRO plan for €9.30 per month or purchasing individual minutes of transcription if we have exhausted them (they do not run out only with the unlimited plan). La transcription It is certainly one of the most useful features of our Plaud and is obviously very different and better than the various free apps that can be found or even those of our smartphones. The transcriptions can be made in 112 languages (Italian included) with paragraphing and speaker recognition. We can also decide which engine AI use, GPT‑4.1, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, Gemini 2.5 Pro just to name a few, to create summaries of our meetings, based on professional templates (meetings, lectures, interviews, etc.). Also present is the generation of mind maps
FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
As always when we get to the final considerations we can only talk about the price to understand how logical it is to buy the device we talked about. Today we find it on offer on the official website at €169 and free fast shipping (payment also via PayPal) and plan starter included (from the value of €69). Does it make sense to buy it? Well, it obviously depends on your need to record and especially to summarize and transcribe. I definitely recommend buying it if you often attend meetings, if you are a professional in any sector that often involves meeting with other people, if you are a student it is fantastic for recording lessons and making summaries with mind maps. Perfect for those who make long work calls and also want to keep track of what is said so as not to lose any detail of the conversation. In all these cases and more, this would be a perfect product. The aesthetics and construction quality are astonishing and the cost seems even underestimated for what we will take home. It is clear that if you do not fall into these categories, the voice recorder that is present on almost all phones could also be fine, but obviously here we are talking about another product of a completely different level. Always keep in mind that if you need many minutes of transcription you will then have to add a subscription plan.
