After witnessing the launch of several new Redmi devices yesterday, today another sub-brand of Xiaomi, POCO, is under the spotlight. According to the site 91Mobiles in fact, the POCO C50 will land in Indian market next month.
POCO C50: a new leak finally reveals the launch date
In particular, the site claims that "insiders" have revealed the official launch date of the POCO C50 on January 3, 2023. This will be the third phone in the series POCO C to be launched in India after the POCO C3 in October 2020 and the POCO C31 in September 2021.
Previously, the brand POCO had revealed that the POCO C50 was scheduled to launch in India in November but the launch was later cancelled. Well, according to the latest from India, the new entry level of POCO will be launched on January 3rd.
At the moment, no further information is known about the POCO C50 and several upgrades are expected to be made based on the POCO C31.
Recall that the POCO C31 launched in September 2021 uses a 6,53-inch screen with HD+ resolution. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor, along with up to 4GB of RAM memory. For photos, the device integrates a 13 MP camera, while in terms of autonomy there is a 5000 mAh battery. Price-wise, the POCO C31 was 8499 Indian rupees (about 97 euros at the exchange rate).
Returning to POCO C50, the smartphone is already appeared in the list of supported devices on Google Play a couple of months ago with model number 220733SPI and codename "neve". The same model number also appeared in the IMEI database poco after. Judging by the codename, the POCO C50 could be a renamed version of Redmi A1+, which has the same code name: snow.
