POCO Official C55 with MediaTek Helio G85, 6,71″ screen and 50MP camera

As scheduled, today the Xiaomi sub brand has launched the new one POCO C55 in India. The new entry level smartphone will be sold in the Asian country at the starting price of 9499 rupees (107 euros) for the version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage; let's find out more.

Il POCO C55 comes with a screen that has a diagonal of 6,71 inches, a resolution of 1650 x 720 and a maximum panel brightness of 500 nits. The screen adopts a waterdrop notch for the front camera.

Since we're already talking about cameras, the C55's POCO it is equipped with two rear cameras, the main one with a resolution of 50MP and can take HDR photos, as well as time-lapse and supports night scene mode. The sensor is accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera to capture depth data and create blur-effect photos. For selfies, however, we have a front camera with a resolution of 5MP that supports beauty mode, facial recognition and gesture shooting.

As far as performance is concerned POCO C55 is driven by the MediaTek Helio G85, an octa core chip with a maximum frequency of 2,0GHz, along with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and a maximum memory combination of 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

From the point of view of autonomy and recharging, the new entry level smartphone comes with a large integrated 5000 mAh battery and supports 10W recharging through the microUSB port.
Other specifications on board the POCO C55 include a 1217-type loud speaker, MIUI 13 operating system, a 3,5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Returning to prices, the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will be priced at 10999 rupees (125 euros).
