POCO F3 GT officially confirmed: it will be a rebrand of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition

A few days ago we told you about the possible launch of a smartphone with the name of POCO F3 GT. Well, today the official account of POCO for India announced that it will release the POCO F3 GT in the third quarter of 2021, making it the first gaming phone of POCO.

POCO F3 GT officially confirmed: it will be a rebrand of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition

According to the teaser released by POCO, POCO F3 GT is equipped with a high-end processor manufactured by MediaTek, the Dimensity 1200, which is the most powerful 5G chip from the chip maker on the market.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1200 uses a TSMC 6nm manufacturing process, with 1 + 3 + 4 three cluster architecture and achieves an excellent balance between performance and power consumption (Antutu score reaches up to 720.000 points).

In particular we have a super-large core that reaches up to 3,0 GHz, which takes care of heavy and complex loads, improving performance by 22% and reducing consumption by 25% compared to the previous generation. The GPU instead sees an improvement of 13% compared to the Dimensity 1000+, so more than excellent for everyday use and for gaming without dropping frames.

In any case, as some of you may remember, the chipset that we will find on board the POCO F3 GT will be the same as we have already seen on the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, so actually the two smartphones could arrive with the same specifications.

If so, the POCO The F3 GT is expected to equip a 6,67-inch flexible OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of FHD +, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 flagship processor, a 64MP AI triple camera, a 5065mAh battery and support for fast charging 67W

Not only that, given that the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is pre-installed with the MIUI 12.5 system from the factory, even the POCO F3 GT should arrive with the latest operating system from Xiaomi

Finally, remember that it is still the Indian account of POCO, so it is not yet clear whether or not it will also arrive in our country.

I would like the EU version of the Redmi with Dimensity 900, always 6nm, but lower frequencies and therefore lower consumption than 1200-1100. As much as power is enough and left over for anything (the S730 of my Mi9T is still enough, the one that is no longer enough is the battery ...)
